This is the most bizzare collection I have ever seen in my life. I would have never expected to see this from Raf, let alone from Jil Sander. And the combination of Anna Wintour and Lara Croft is positively awful. He should leave that kind of subverise design aesthetic to Miuccia.

The first eight looks were good and gave me hope; the cut of those suits and the backs of those looks was very interesting. The rest of the show was terrible. The textures, the fabrics, the colour palette; everything was out of sync with the Jil Sander aesthetic.

Besides, this is definitely one of the weakest Raf shows ever. And one of the first times I am genuinely disappointed by something he has designed. And after last seasons brilliant collection, this is such a disappointment.

I agree... Of course, it seems perfectly tailored, but it's always with Raf Simons. But this season, there is not any interesting volume at all and I find this collection pessimistic.

This collection is so puzzling. First of all those jumpsuits are extremely unflattering and impracticable. The plaid print is too large, added with the length of the skirts and shorts look out of place and dis-proportioned. As a matter of fact I cannot stand the lengths of some of the pieces. The colored dress and knee length coats are quite nice though. This just seems lazy and unfortunate,so disappointing Raf.

I think the amount of looks was sort of unnecessary and it's indeed plain but it is for Jil afterall. love the cuts, tailoring and sneaky details in the overwhelmingly practical pieces.

Anna running out like the place was on fire... classic

defenetely some looks were unnecessary.

like the composition of the show itself (black and tartan variations), like the casting, like the Raf for Jil reinterpretation of Chanel tweed (with the lines of fur - ?), like the black outftits and everything.

but i don't know. i think a 7min. well edited show would be nicer (smaller place ? 30 looks ?).
since as said, too many unnecessary looks.
and getting tired of the too "clinical" look. really. the cut and tailor is perfect and i love it, but just ... loose it up, a little.

i can't wait to see a beautiful image of this black second look, worn by Magda (?) : a black combinaison (catsuit, sounds more cool, non ?) with see-through back. not with those shoes, though.

and hating (!!!!) those suit-dress-skirt ! really NOT feminine ... imo. V&R manage usually better with this.

Not a fan of the fabric selection. Some of the pieces are ... not something that would expect from Jil Sander. Especially that one piece is god-awful

generally i can indulge raf simons in his little exotic fantasies at the house of jil sander, but this time his collection lacked that braininess and headiness i expect from a jil sander collection. he simply did not bring his a-game this season and this is no season to not present one's best. now, everyone's entitled to an off collection, i just think the stakes are too high to put little playsuits and odd coats on the runway.

From the anonymous boots,to the bags(I saw similar things at Zara couple days ago)
I would just save the tartan pieces...

the first few looks were really promising. after that, it was hard to anything nice. if he had ditched the big plaid patterns for something more flattering and interesting, i would have been a lot happier.
it's just no good overall sadly.

i'm not surprised anymore. i think it's obvious now where everybody's going this year.. but i thought the recession started more than a year ago ...

several pieces are cut like it is made for the summer.. interesting...
