Lindsay Lohan -- Scoring Points With The Mayor

Lindsay Lohan has already won over the locals during her stint at Betty Ford -- including the mayor of Rancho Mirage, CA ... who tells us he's "very pleased" LiLo's been rehabbing in his town.

Mayor Richard Kite tells us he's impressed with Lindsay's progress -- and supports BF's decision to allow her to drive again ... telling us, "I'm not worried at all ... as long as she abides by the law."

Lohan is expected to stay in rehab until January -- and the mayor adds, "We hope while she's here she continues to enjoy Rancho Mirage."

Update on The Locahan Lawsuit: Mother of The Year speaks out against the propaganda, says Lindsay was hurt by Glee because she thought she was Gwyneth's friend.

Lindsay Lohan is deeply hurt by Gwyneth Paltrow mocking her on national TV, Dina Lohan told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive new interview.
Paltrow recently appeared on Glee and played a Spanish teacher who taught a lesson that included asking the class: "Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right?" And, she then quizzed the class in Spanish, "How many times has Lindsay Lohan been to rehab?"
Lindsay was watching the hit Fox show while in the Betty Ford Center and was devastated.
"Lindsay is so upset with Gwyneth," Dina Lohan told RadarOnline.com.
"Lindsay was watching it while in Betty Ford, then she called me and was upset and said, 'Why did she have to do that?'"
According to Dina, Lindsay thought the two movie actresses were friends and was shocked by the cruel jokes she made about her during a very difficult time in life.
"We are the first to make fun of ourselves in our family," explained Dina.
"And Lindsay has even done SNL a few times, but Gwyneth went overboard and it was unecessary."
This isn't the first time the Mean Girls star has felt victimized by ridicule. Lindsay claimed the stock trading company E*Trade violated her rights by featuring a baby character named Lindsay in their television commercial ads. The baby was a "milkaholic" other woman in a baby love triangle.
The E*Trade case was settled in September, less than a month before Gwyneth's stint on Glee. Although this situation won't end in court, it certainly has affected a friendship.
"Lindsay thought she was a friend and it was disappointing," Dina told RadarOnline.com.
"It was really hard for her to watch... it was hurtful not funny."
Lindsay is expected to complete her rehabilitation at Betty Ford on January 3, 2011 and Dina has plans for a fresh start for her daughter.
"2011 is going to be different. We won the E-trade thing, and things are going to be different," Dina says

Lindsay Lohan gets called a lot of not-so-pleasant things but the label that crosses the line is ... 'provocative' -- and sources say she's ticked at CNN for using the unspeakable word to describe her.

Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ ... LiLo was "beyond upset" to see her name on CNN's "Showbiz Tonight" as one of the most provocative celebs of 2010. Lindsay made the top five -- along with Miley Cyrus, Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen -- but Lady Gaga took the top prize.

Either Lindsay doesn't know what provocative means ... or she's pissed she lost to Gaga.

Fun fact: Lindsay's also nominated for 'Best Mug Shot' of 2010.

"We'll watch it, but it is not going to happen.

Sounds like the Lohans will finally have a happy holiday! Or will they?
Actress Lindsay Lohan will still be rehabilitating in California during Christmas, so her family has to come to her. And that includes mom, dad and siblings, right?
Dina Lohan is reportedly venturing out west with Lindsay's sister Ali and brothers Michael and Cody to spend the holidays with the Hollywood starlet, and it looks like father Michael Lohan isn't invited along.
But Lindsay's dad himself insists to X17online exclusively that he has plans of his own. Read what Michael has to say below:

"I find it really inappropriate that Dina would make a comment about not including me in the family's holiday plans. I wonder, what's in her heart to be so cruel? I wonder if she is just flexing her muscles for her stint on Dancing With the Stars? I guess we'll just have to see how happy this holiday turns out... I plan and sure hope to see all of my children this Christmas, including Lindsay. Isn't that the spirit of the holidays anyway?"

It's well known that LiLo recently reconciled with her father - after all, she already spent Thanksgiving with him (and Samantha Ronson). Why should Xmas be any different? Linds needs all the support she can get!
