First things first, because there have been some misleading headlines...
Lindsay Lohan was NOT hospitalised.
She may have been trying to call in sick though.
Like clockwork, drama on the set of any Lindsay Lohan movie...
Paramedics were called to her hotel this morning. According to
TMZ, which has been the most accurate, not exaggerating the situation at all, after a long day of shooting the Elizabeth Taylor movie of the week, Lindsay tried to sleep, didn’t feel well, and asked production to send a doctor over to see her.
In other words, she was trying to get out of a day of work, make it a long weekend. Only she’s a loser and a ---- up and it ended up exploding in her face because the doctor they requested called the hotel first to have someone check up on her and she didn’t pick up the phone or answer the door. Given her history, they assumed the worst and called an ambulance. When the ambulance arrived, it was determined that she was fine.
But the internet exploded.
So her publicist has now released a statement explaining the situation, blaming her “grueling schedule” on what happened:
"She was on set last night at 7 p.m. and worked through the night until 8 a.m. this morning. She took a nap before shooting her final scene. Producers were concerned when she did not come out of her room and called paramedics as a precaution. Lindsay was examined and is fine, but did suffer some exhaustion and dehydration. She is resting now and is hoping to be back on set later this afternoon.”
Um, she’s playing Elizabeth Taylor in a tv movie. She’s not playing a slave on the set of a film about how they built the Great Wall Of China. You do know what it’s like on a film set, right? A work day includes makeup and hair, waiting around in the trailer for a LONG time while they adjust the lights, waiting around in the trailer some more while they adjust the lights, some acting, and more waiting around in the trailer while they reposition the shot and change the lights. This is NOT intense labour.
But this is what you deserve when you hire Lindsay Lohan.
And that’s what everyone is talking about today. Eventually the casting directors, the producers, the money people, the executives, they will all be hearing about it if they haven’t already:
What? Lindsay Lohan collapsed again?
Exactly.
You will regret hiring Lindsay Lohan. Lifetime is paying for it now.
