Lanvin for H&M (Update....Second Collection?)

HUH! i knew the magazines would get first scoop on images. of course they had to get a 'Go' first from H&M HQ, but still.

i like the dress, but hope it'll be something non-polyblend.

and i've never been a fan of floral prints, so i think that dress would look better uni-colored.

The necklace in this pic ^^ is same from S/S2009 collection, LOOK:
(and mixing with Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2010)

It is the 20th, but only for NY.

23rd for anywhere else in the world.

I hunted through December Vogue today for the ad campaign, but it's not in there. Seems a bit pointless to have shot a campaign and for it not to be printed in the relevant months magazine!

That was my understanding:D. I am suprised to see the one shoulder dress for 100 pounds! I thought it would be more expensive...
EDIT: that dress is completely different from the one in the ad... oh well it will all be settled tomorrow!

"It was an exercise for me to understand what is the relationship between high fashion and fast fashion. Ninety five per cent of women cannot afford [Lanvin], so let them have a taste," says Elbaz. "It's like if I was living in a palace and opened some doors and said, 'Have tea with me, taste the food.' It's not about giving away something that belonged to someone else; it's about sharing."

The new collection, which has been dubbed one of the biggest fashion stories of the year, can be seen in full for the first time tomorrow here.
"The beauty of our business is that we can do things and then move on," Elbaz tells WWD. "This project with H&M was about being relevant to a moment. I have always said that we are not a cool brand. It's not about being cool or not. We try to be relevant. I'm not going into the cool club. It's not my address."

that quote from him is brilliant, and it's exactly what this is about. People need to understand that the majority of people (moi included) shop at Macy's, Target, etc. We eat at Red Lobster, Olive Garden, whatever. we're not high end boutique clients, we don't dine at 5-star restaurants for lunch, we can't afford regular Lanvin. We're on the outside looking in. and this is a great way of sharing a brand that we all love, otherwise we wouldn't be in this thread.

Wow, the video is nice! Still don't want more than a couple of dresses...

love it. at least 3 dresses (is the one near the end in white with 2 black bows on the skirt a dress?) the black coat and basically all of the necklaces need to be mine.

I'm loving it, it is so great!!! i can't wait to see the whole thing.

I wish there was more menswear to gawk at
the dresses were GORGEOUS especially considering the prices
the shoes were to die for and the accessories are on a need to have bases for me
simply the best collab EVER for H&M

I would HATE being the women who bought the 950 euro dress from Lanvin, and to see it at h&m for like 100 bucks!

The black coat looks kind of interesting, and some of the over-the-top jewelry too, which I would buy but never actually wear because it's not my style :p.. I don't know, this might be worth a 2-hour train ride afterall.. just to kick Christmas season in a good mood. :innocent:
