Lanvin for H&M (Update....Second Collection?)

Depends on where you live. The dresses cost £99 in the UK, which is fair IMO. BUT...in DK we pay the equivalent of £130, and the Norwegians get charged £150 for the very same dress. Not fair.

There are too many high street options, some of them can really offer great quality with reasonable price tag.

I am not sure if I should buy that Lanvin for H&M jacket, for male, not lady. I am in tight budget.

Actually to all the Bostonians it has been confirmed per H&M website the collection will be sold at Newbury store and it will have a special opening time of 8AM on that day. Might as well stay up from the day before.

Unfortunately Tvparty, Lucy 92 is right. Not a chance it will be in Boston. Most likely the only two cities it will be available in the US will be LA and NY. I am in Philly so we are in the same situation, which is traveling to NYC or resorting to Ebay.

agree with you. I think the prices shouls be the same in every country. %50 pounds different is a big different

but on the other hand think about one thing - 99pounds for UK ppl is not the same for me, in poland. Dresses are like half of our basic, low month salary. Half! So while it is unfair for other countries to pay more than UK it is sick that I must pay the same money with 3-5 times less salary. But it is of course not H&M fault XD

^ It's almost the same in my country. In US the prices are 1/3 lower, than by us.

The Danish prices constitutes nearly half of what I own in a month as well (that will be after our gruesome taxes)...I'm a student though, but still. The UK price I'd be willing to pay, because they seem fair. But it pisses me off that I have to pay 30% more than UK prices.

Anybody here thinks some pieces are really overpriced?

yup, me.

Certainly for these pieces that you don't get many occasions to wear.

Let's not forget that it's after all H&M, the prices should stay accessable for most of the people.

I was excited at frist when I saw the UK and US prices, but knowing that I have to pay way more I think I'm skipping out on this collection

I wouldn't mind the prices if the quality is there - I mean the fact that you can get an authentic (albeit mass produced) Lanvin at these prices is already something to be happy about. but judging from the pics, the fabrics don't appear to be expensive.

Still, we can only wait until we get to touch these pieces to really know if they're worth their asking price.

^Mainline Lanvin doesn't use expensive fabrics :flower: It's polyester all the way, baby (well most of it)

Yep. I also thought about it and I'm skipping the dresses - unless they go on sale. But I must have the tees. J'adore them and the prices are not that bad.

Aside from the tees, there really isn't anything that grabs me. I never wear short dresses like the ones here and the coats are a little fancy...where would I wear them, aside from a rare, nice night out?

Kind of disappointed about the blazer too. It's a little dull for my tastes.

really? i don't think the coats are particularly fancy. i could see both the trench and the fur coat with a simple blouse+v neck pullover+long lean pants as well as a t-shirt and slim fit jeans together with either Doc Martens or high heel pumps.

i'll be waiting in line for sure, i'm torn on if i should get those floral heels.. but has anyone seen on lookbook.nu how quite a few are already in the collection? is there some secret club i have to join or what!? :p

I doubt even Press Contacts will help you with this one. Most of these pieces turning up are loans. They've not been gifted any pieces.
