Hey guys,
I am soooo happy! My father told me that I'll get a London trip incl. Shopping money for christmas and my birthday.
We'll travel to London on 12-26-08.
I've been in London for a couple of times yet and I have some favourite shopping places (Carnaby Street, Urban oufitters, Kensighton High Street,...), but are there any insider tips and places I should know?

I got exactly same present from my father! I'm leaving on Friday and can't wait! Low pound makes it even cheaper.

I think you should still have a fairly good chance of finding good deals - I got an email 1-2 days ago from Harvey Nichols and they are lowering their sales even further.. You could check out matchesfashion.com and see their sale (they have r/l stores around London)

Dover Street Market have just increased a lot of their reductions from today until the final days of their sale on the 13 jan. I'm hoping to go and check it out this weekend.

Where abouts in London will she be? Because there are a lot of retailers of Hunter all over the city and there is no guarentee that each retailer will have those particular pair (i.e that blog was 2007?) but the big stores that sell Hunter include Harrods and Harvery Nichols. The shoe brand Office have Hunters but I think only in one design at the minute. If not she can always buy them online p.s Good choice

^If you do go to the East End Thrift Store let us know what it's like cos it sounds good,although I worry about the quality of the stuff if pretty much everything is under £10 but maybe I'll be proven wrong. I'm going home soon so I hope to check it out too

It's a school trip and I will be in London one single day! apart from Topshop, Harrods, Selfridges, can you give me any advice on some worthy shopping spots?!? You should definitely check out Susie's shop map here for a comprehensive approach.

If you really have to stay central but want to see some more unique/interesting shops I would head for Beyond the Valley on Newburgh Street, Doors by Jas M.B. and Concrete and Hurwundeki on Marshall Street,
Kokon to Zai is nearby and there are a few decent vintage or consignment shops in the area as well.

i've been to the east end thrift store its quite nice! i didnt have too much time but ended up getting 2 leather skirts. its only 10GBP each. there are a lot of stuff. organised according to catergories: shirts/sweaters/dresses/skirts/jean shorts/blazers/coats. there are quite some belts as well. there is mens section too. sorry i dunno how to properly describes the store...

End of June!Last year they had 2 sunday events in July where you could take 10% off using the harrods card (it's not a credit card, everyone can sign up for it)!

That depends on how you define new to which vintage places have you already been? And are you looking for huge rummage places or carefully selected stock?
