Love #4 Fall / Winter 10.11 by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

^^ I'm at your side...Ale's cover is very unflattering. It's horrible

wonderful work Ale! wonderful work!...the Givenchy static never disappoints me....now, i´m so excited to see more:woot:

99.9% sure Miranda doesn't have a cover.^ Abigail probably will though.

A little teaser here. You can see a small photo on the bottom, not sure who that is.

i'm tired of all this teaser thing though.

I suppose it's not too far away from the release date, but I'd still rather have actual substance over a trickle of shots. Don't tease, deliver.

I really dont like Ale's cover
something about her stare is throwing me
off...and that make-up isnt working for her
I've liked her other eds but this isnt one
i would just like all the covers to be released because
i hate surprises

i prefer Ale's cover than Rosie's, can't wait to see all the cover!

don't see nothing special about ale's cover either but it's better than rosie's one imho

I prefer Alessandra as a HF model, truly I do lol. For reasons I am forbidden to express I don't think she suits the VS brand at all but from the Loewe campaign to Russh to this fab cover, I really really really like it. I'm so surprised.

I don't the Ambrosio's cover, she looks so boring & dead, definely she doesn't fit an HF model.

wow, alessandra's cover is fabulous. that's indeed one of her best shots.

Does anyone like this magazine on a whole? TFS users always get excited for a new issue but it seems like no one is impressed with the majority of the content (and I can see why.)

I love Alessandra's cover. The givenchy, the hair, the lipstick, and all that red!

Katie is actually instilling some excitement in me... but i do get excited easily when it comes to magazines.

edit: I do wish they didn't put "The Angel" and add that cutesy heart.

I Didn't particularly like the first 2 issues, but issue 3 was fantastic, for me.
if they had of done that from the start i think they would of impressed their audience more, it had great articles about designers and the editorial content was good too, although it was boarding on p*rn.
one thing that does slightly irritate me about LOVE though is how extensive their clothing use goes, has anyone else spotted this ? most of Katie's editorials expand to Prada and Louis Vuitton and not much else, i understand she works with them alot but that shouldn't be her 'excuse'.
and I'm not a prude and it doesn't bother me about nudity in magazines but i think they use it far too much almost as a substitute for the clothes, after all its a fashion magazine that is meant to sell clothes, or maybe its a personal selling device for Prada and Louis Vuitton ? as they seem to be the only clothes they use .
overall i do like the magazine though, and hopefully they keep on the track of issue 3, which by the looks of Rosie's and Alessandra's cover's it may seem they are, or i hope so.

I agree with you in this. IMO, if there's anything LOVE is good at, it's promoting and creating hype for their upcoming issues. The content isn't nearly as impressive as other seasonal magazines of its category, like say, AnOther for example. Stripped of all its hullabaloo, I see it as nothing more than any Vogue issues, the difference being how frequently each is published.

One thing that bothers me about love is that everything in it is so calculated. Like, of course everything in magazines is calculated, but Love seems to be almost a paint by numbers magazine. It constantly attempts to present itself as somehow "edgy" or "hip" (as seen with F/W 2009 issue) and it mostly fails.

Most issues of Vogue have a bit more (lol) "warmth" than Love, so I would disagree in saying that Love is on the level of Vogue. I own all the issues released so far (god knows why) but something really puts me off about it. It feels like this is just Katie Grand's forum to mess around with for a bit until she replaces Alexandra Schulman at Vogue UK, maybe that's why it doesn't feel as natural to me as most fashion magazines.
