Okay I'm not a huge Karlie fan but this is a real stretch. What is Karlie meant to do? Implying that Karlie somehow wields power and influence of Ivanka to change her mind and become anti-Trump is ridiculous! She's already publicly put out her views and we all know she doesn't agree with her bother-in-law and his horrific wife (let along her father) but to expect her to change US politics through association is utterly stupid.

Completely agree! Can we not focus on the people DOING bad things rather than blaming the people around them for some weird twisted reason? Why would they even listen to Karlie anyway? I wouldn't change my fundamental views for my sister in law. This is very much like the Wang revelations this week - really seemed like there were way more comments calling out models who have worked for him than there were focusing on the actual perpetrator...

So, on the one hand, this person calls Karlie a Barbie trying to imply she is just a stupid blonde airhead. But also expects her to be able to influence her husband's in-laws and make them change the way they run a whole country. My God...
Yes, her activism is as superficial as it gets. I rolled my eyes often before I unfollowed her on social media. But the people who decide to write those comments on her posts just because she is an easier target are not much different or better.

Wilhelmina appears to have taken down his page. However there is no communication from Wilhelmina apologizing for his actions. Nothing from Wilhelmina general counsel Marilee Holmes.

This is deeply disturbing. Strand's modeling instagram reveals he was part of the qanon conspiracy and has been posting about it all year even after the conspiracy was named a domestic terror threat.

This just goes to show that unless you’re a big name, no one will pay attention to your wrongdoings or crime until you get exposed and the institution you’re a part of is mentioned in the same breath as you. Imagine if his name was Lucky Blue Smith or Anwar Hadid.

A lot of models and fashion community have been promoting QAnon conspiracies. I don't follow Doutzen but I see a lot of male models who are into some of the hardcore conspiracies. There are some model agents who are heavily invested in QAnon. Also, some top hairstylists and makeup artists. Feel free to PM me.

What do you expect from middle school and high school drop outs? These people achieve their fortunes based on looks not brains. Most have never worked another job or faced the "real world" as an adult because they made so much money at a young age and can travel in a luxury bubble. Plus, there is a system that coddles them in a way. I think people need to stop looking to them for answers for the world. Stop expecting them to be more than a model.

It's another form of brainwashing to assume that the good looking person in your favorite fashion photograph is some sort of messiah or genius or has all the answers to the ways of the universe. Models are already dealing with imposter syndrome because their images are retouched and manipulated. Most are not doing well in the mental health side of things.

These agencies are putting their clients, investors and employees at grave risk by working with these seditious people.

If I were a Wilhelmina model and wanted to jump ship to another agency under more favorable terms I would check my contract carefully. There is likely a clause on moral turpitude. These clauses can go both ways.

What do you think she can do about it though? Her husband is a democrat supporter who happens to have a Trumper-Thumper brother and sister in-law, it's as much out of Joshua's hands as it Karlie's. I know what dealing with bad blood feels like, so I can relate to her situation. Yes she has so much power and the ideal situation is to remove herself from Joshua's family especially for her business but I will still respect Karlie whether she chooses to stand by Joshua's side or not.

It's been well known that Josh Kushner was not the favorite son like Jared and did his own thing. Karlie isn't even liked by the Kushner family and the parents didn't want Josh to marry her.

It isn't uncommon for siblings to be very different and choose different paths. It's also not uncommon for daughters, sons, nieces and nephews to disapprove of the family business. Mary Trump is still a Trump but she isn't part of the family business. Harry, the former Prince, left his royal family's legacy.

^^exactly, she was very quiet for a while. Karlie can't change MAGA minds any more than the rest of us can, but for a while it wasn't clear where she stood on her family members' actions. Her comments still seem so lightweight to me, like she could be more direct and forceful about what she believes if that's really what she thinks.

Even if she wasn’t specifically going after her in-laws, I think Karlie has made it clear over and over and over for the past several years that she opposes what Trump has been doing, she actively highlights causes and political stances that are opposed to him, the same way Tavi does. The notion that Karlie could influence policy or that using her platform to call out Trump directly would have moved the needle whatsoever is laughable. Last time I looked at Tavi’s Instagram she was using her platform to shill for some developer’s new gentrification project in Brooklyn. And now she’s what, doing a bit role in a Gossip Girl reboot and mocking Karlie’s coding initiative for girls?

I get that thing about Karlie but let's be realistic, we're all even afraid of being too confrontational with our own, non-famous/zero influential or powerful family members. It's family, there's not much you can do about it (unless you're one of these people that 'resigns' from relatives like it's a job), especially if it's not even your brother or aunt but your partner's family, you can only hammer so much before you enter 'f*cking psycho' territory, burn relationships to the ground and end up breaking your marriage. Now that would satisfy most people, they disapprove of Karlie being with a Kushner and want her to show 'true redemption' for that but what would that entail? should she divorce because the public disapproves? she is clearly comfortable and has been with the guy for many years..

I dislike Karlie lol, I cannot stand her Christy Turlington complex and her ultra crafted 'tv' personality (and don't get me started on her shady ways hiring Taylor's manager) but I'm a bit perplexed on what people want.. it seems like people demand a type of accountability that is not realistic in a divided country, not as a private citizen or a public figure. She has stated her position, surely not in a defiant way (ever thought her partner was probably not okay with it because it's his family after all?) but it's.. there, and there are no rumors of her being directly involved in any sketchy business, she certainly didn't get any cake slice during the nepotism fest happening in the past 4 years.


Now can we just establish that model dude is NOT hot nor good-looking? . Hot-ish, sure, in that 'bassist for that Air Supply cover band at Applebee's on an empty Tuesday night' way, no more really, I'm surprised he went as far as landing a contract. He's not even ripped in a hot way (more like he read the same far-right book on 'Roman/Greek' aesthetics I read recently, and didn't know when to stop lifting/taking pills)..

It is classic foundation. She don't use own money, of course she has sponsors and she doesn't belong to IT industry. This kind of courses is very schematic, and people from IT claim it not good way to learning coding. She hires people for doing it, but she creates image that she doing something groundbreaking, but it is not true, all programming language have community only for women, they organise meeting, events and such like.
