Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

These girls are models, not your best friends. Having a nice personality does not make you a good model. A girl like Stam, as bitchy as she is, delivers, in my opinion. I do not even find her attractive, but I find her ad campaigns and editorials are consistently good, which is all matters to me since I do not have to deal with her personally.
Re: Chanel. The girl is like Agyness to me: a trend with no future (or at least I hope). I don't hate her but I don't care in the slightest whether she is a good person: I just don't want her in the magazines I read. I just saw her in a Vogue editorial and the only thing I could think of is: why do they use a 12 year-old kid to sell women's clothes? She doesn't even look like an adolescent to me, she looks downright prepubescent, and that's my only problem with her.
As for those who want her around just for diversity sake, I am appalled by this prospect. I don't expect Vogue to be affirmative action monthly, I only care about the quality of the models, regardless of race.

I agree, she did look her age, and even younger in that ed - and it was fascinating that that would slip by Anna Wintour who seems to resent any kind of wide-eyed innocence - which makes sense because that's what was aimed for in the Vogue era preceding hers. Chanel isn't going to stay that way - she will only become better as she learns. She's got the bone structure and elegance.

I disagree about Stam and Agyness. I don't think Stam could deliver a varied facial expression if her life depended on it (I think she has one expression but TGA informed me she has three ). I like Agyness because she CAN deliver multiple (as in more than 3) expressions and a wealth of poses. I don't care if she's the biggest b*tch ever (she's not), I just like her as a model. As for Stam, I don't get the constant fellating and praise over her editorial and runway work because I've never found either to be very intriguing or well, good. Therefore her bitchiness isn't even warranted. It reminds of a snotty little cheerleader in high school who thinks she's the sh*t even though she can barely function as a human being.

I think most people get heated when talking about models because they think they're prettier and when they look in magazines, they think, "I can do that too, if not better." So maybe it's more of the jealousy of, "Why does that girl get to model when I;d be so much better." I know that's how I feel when I see a male model in a Prada campaign. I always think, "wow, I'm better looking than him and only because of his height and body, he's a model."

The model I dislike the most is Yfke Sturm:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyqO3XMg8LM

She might have a bad day during this interview...well then she has a lot of bad days. She always comes across as cold, unfriendly, arrogant. She got fired as the host of HNTM and was voted worst tv presenter of the year. She said she wasn't fired but wanted to do more modelling work. She constantly talked about her boyfriend and her marriage and showed of her wealth in another program. "I go to the Hamptons all the time, bungalow 8 ....everyone knows me there". "I went on holiday with Tara Reid"...when Tara Reid was asked about it she said "Yfke Who?"

Yfke has a really good bone structure
and is beautiful, but she doesn't model very much :(

Well this thread is not about who we like or dislike and thats why we have the 'model whose appeal you do not get thread'. I'd rather see this topic get back to model behavior. ;)

everyone has their bad/good days

i mean can you do the models job better than them?? or do u think you can?

Is anyone curious as to why Meghan Collison's images were not used in the Prada and Belstaff campaigns? Both are shot by Meisel, does anyone think she may have upset him or there may have been an incident? I mean she's prodced some amazing images up till now with Meisel so how come she didn't star in these career making campaigns, will it affect her career? I mean it's not nice being known as the girl who booked Prada but then lost it.

She apparantly never shot for those campaings, but were on option. The campaigns ended up not going to her.

I am, however, a bit surprised that Meisel didn't shoot Meghan for any campaign of his after two Vogue Italia covers in a row during fall 2007, so it could be that he has grown a bit tired of her, or it could be purely coincitendal. It could also be that the designers don't like Meghan's look and put their foot down. After all, she barely walked any runways for SS08.
