Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

what's the deal with the coco tmz video that was mentioned a few pages back?

The model I dislike the most is Yfke Sturm:

She might have a bad day during this interview...well then she has a lot of bad days. She always comes across as cold, unfriendly, arrogant. She got fired as the host of HNTM and was voted worst tv presenter of the year. She said she wasn't fired but wanted to do more modelling work. She constantly talked about her boyfriend and her marriage and showed of her wealth in another program. "I go to the Hamptons all the time, bungalow 8 ....everyone knows me there". "I went on holiday with Tara Reid"...when Tara Reid was asked about it she said "Yfke Who?"

I flew out of state to do a show with Yfke recently. There were only 3 of us (NY based models) doing the show and I noted during the time backstage that I did not recognize her from NY and had no idea who she was. She seemed like she was friends with everyone though which obviously wasn't the case, she just had a warm and outgoing personality. She didn't know me but she still kept in step with me during our time (waiting for hours) at the airport/backstage joking and talking about the job and food and what people are like from our different hometowns etc. Typically when talking to another model regarding work they can tend to be arrogant or have an angle in conversation, like they constantly need to prove their work/skill to everyone but that wasn't the case. It's hard to explain but by the way she talked about it so casually and with reserve it was like she wasn't a model at all, she had a certain maturity about her that came across as a sweet older sister if anything. I couldn't find a single negative thing about her.
As far as those interviews go, they really don't properly reflect a majority of the models' personalities or views. They're constantly thinking of what they can and can't say in most cases and 99% of the time they only do those video interviews because they feel guilty or view it as an obligation (a majority of models turn down the video interviews backstage, those reporters can have a pretty rough time)

Hmm...just heard something about how a model backstage at Rock & Republic was yelling about how some girls got to carry guns down the runway, and she didn't...who could it be...?

My friend who was backstage at the show didn't actually speak to her but she said Jessica was yelling and complaining the whole time.

She also said:
Flavia, nice as hell but a chain-smoker.
Miranda Kerr...nicest girl ever!

smokebreak, thank you for sharing what you know about Yfke. She sounds like a lovely person.

It must be tremendously difficult to be "on the spot" during interviews and then later at the mercy of an editing team as well.

Someone on ONTD who dressed models at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show this year also said Flavia was the nicest one and she named one other and Miranda Kerr was one of them mentioned, too. So I guess Flavia and Miranda are just consistently nice girls. Good to hear. ^_^

Meghan was shot for Prada Resort though, and she was in 3 VI meisel edits in a row(and had 2 covers) in the last 3 months of 2007.So I can only assume he still is happy with her.For some reason I see her getting some fw08 campaign of his, I think her looks fit better with darker colors instead of springy brights and patterns.
