Miranda is nothing if not courteous and a complete professional - I see the media is trying reeeeally hard to spin her actions into diva territory.

Really! Though I am glad Miranda is getting back to work. She's already once again become a better so-called boogeywoman than Chanel Iman.

what i don't understand is if this is your job, and you are a mother t a newborn
why bring. they do have breast pumps if she wanted to still give her baby milk. this was a fashion show she wasn't hosting the VMA's it shouldn't have been that serious. her first picture of he baby was her beast feeding so i don't think it is that private anymore...

 I am maxed out on Miranda pimping her baby for publicity. If I have to hear one more thing about her birthing process or how wonderful her body is I will hurl. And look I haven't even given birth yet, I imagine those who have find her even more irritating than me.

i don't even understand what the problem is with her having her own area... she is the number 1 David Jones ambassador, and has been for many years. as far as i am aware there are only 3 contracted models to DJs (her, megan gale who didnt walk, and sam harris who is only really known in aus). i don't find it that shocking.. i imagine it would be provided even if it wasn't requested

Amen to that.

While I'm not to fond of her pimping out her baby so to speak I find myself constantly reminding myself that the nature of the industry is that after a certain point your age can make you irrelevant.

idk if this was mentioned but Charlotte Free on her tumblr says that she has turned a lot of jobs down because they wanted her to wear fur (i'm guessing she is a huge activist) good for her standing for what she believes in but 85% of the time a model will be asked to wear fur... it isn't like being nude

I’ve lost great sums of money, and even greater oppurtuinities over refusing to wear fur. As sickening as it is, it’s on almost every set and is an issue on 50% of the jobs i do at least. I know that if i was willing to wear fur, i would have a better career right now. i’m ok with that. I’m more than ok with it, I’m so proud of it! I don’t personally know any models that can say that.
The problem is, no one in this industry is original. Everything is based off “inspiration”…basically every editorial you see is ripping off something or copying something else. So since fur is popular, its in every fashion story…. IT’S SO ****ING OVERDONE. Even if the jacket isn’t fur, something is. That’s always the case. . An animal or two, or six, or twenty had to die and suffer for every outfit. Fur is tacky as hell and downright evil and i hope all of my followers stop wearing fur.
charlottefree.tumblr

she gets a little full of herself in the 2nd paragraph, maybe she should choose another profession :innocent:

^Charlotte is so ordinary and boring. I love her as a model but it's tiring how she constantly overestimates herself. Like when she went home during Paris Fashion week for "exhaustion", after walking a total of only 11 shows in NY, London and Paris. She said she could have walked so many more shows if she hadn't left early. She walked Moncler, Limi Feu and Manish Arora in Paris, not exactly the biggest shows :innocent:

She actually gets really good print work and she should just be happy about that, considering how short she is that's impressive. But constantly making excuses à la "I could work so much more if I wasn't such a rebellious teen that stands for what she believes in, etc." is quite annoying. She does have something like a cult following and she's probably more famous already than many other newer models, maybe she should just use her fame to do something she actually enjoys doing rather than bitching about modeling all the time.

* Moderator edit, flaming *

Charlotte does not truly understand the world that she is working in, and she should just get out and use her popularity like others have mentioned to go start a band or something. Girl, the music industry might treat you better, NOT! Seriously, this girl thinks the 11 shows she booked in NY, London, and Paris are good. Please! None of the shows she walked are even in the the top 10 of each city. When you actually book a real blue chip fashion campaign, start bragging Free! She is a snob!

Let's just say Charlotte has been favored by many in the industry because of that pink hair and that fake childish "I'm a rebel, Look at me!" attitude. It has gotten her noticed, and she should be thankful because there are so many more talented and unspoiled new models in the industry that has not gotten the undying support that she has. Grow up kid!

And indeed Frida's niceness is by the book. It is done because she wants to look nice and sweet in front of crowds and people, but at least, she's not as horrible as Chanel Iman. Frida is still an angel compared to "It's Me Chanel, Look at Me! I'm only nice when the Paparazzi are around and I'm on the red carpet."

Jac is actually really pleasant. At the beginning, she was pretty overwhelmed. Just separate her away from Frida and Jac is actually a very grounded person. However, she is easily influenced by people around her (and some of the not so good friends she has been making and getting close with). Jac should stick with Caroline. I believe Caroline will help keep her humble.

All of my followers? Boy, does that Free girl really think she's a world-famous fashion guru or what.

^^ nowalmart, you have confirmed by suspicions about Frida :( It's good to know CBN isn't letting it all go to her head, hopefully Jac hangs around her a bit more :)

All these girls with big egos :yuk::( It's probably too late for them, but I hope the new girls coming through realise one of the biggest dangers is actually listening to what people are saying around them, whether it be good or bad!

and is it just me or is Jac a bit 'off' at the start and end of this interview? maybe just tired

Yes she seems a little annoyed and that confused me a bit, since she normally seems very nice.

It sounds like you have some inside intel? Who are the 'not so good friends' she's getting close with?

Its Tumblr... She would have thousands of followers.

You're all being way too hard on Charlotte. I don't think she's snobby or full of herself, I just think she's trying to be unique and have a voice while sticking by her morals.

The only clue I can give you is to look at images of her hanging with people other than the usual models like Frida and CBN. Much of the concern is the kind of things the people she associates with do, which is not allowed to be talked about.

Jac is really off in the video in 517. She was probably really tired and lacking sleep. I'm not surprised. In SS11 Jac always looked overwhelmed and annoyed. I don't know what was going on. It probably was stress and handling her hectic schedule, family Poland, school, friends and all the craziness of modeling and fashion week. Her annoyed expression can also come from being interviewed and asked the same questions again and again by reporters everyday. There are so many video interviews from different sources that most of the public do not get to see on youtube. Jac improved a lot this past season. Sometimes, it is hard to put a finger on her because you can tell she is still very young and not very sure of herself.

She's trying too hard. It all is too forced and kind of fake online and in person... You can sense her cry for attention while she indicates that she doesn't give a f*k. It is quite annoying.

I'll keep an eye out for her hanging out with people Charlotte Free then.;)

no if you go on CHarlotte's tumblr it reads full of herself... i was opting to follow her bu chose not to because her personality turned me off

Monika was probably tired at Salvatore Ferragamo but it wouldn't be suprising if she gets a bit carried away in the future considering her success. I mean how could the successful models of this age prevent their heads from spinning when they see themselves walking or posing for the most prestigious brands? Or when everytime they check TFS they read new posts praising their looks and flattering them (to the point where it's sometimes ridiculous)?
Jac has a twitter account and the wallpaper is a collage of pictures of her. It makes her look a bit self-absorbed (IMO) but it's not abnormal for someone whose job requires to be the center of attention.
Even for a smart and grounded girl it must be complicated to cope with the success at that time of their life so I almost find it hard to blame them. Despite the diva behaviour of some of them they will all fail castings and experience rejection. And they're all aware that time will pass and see them fade. The fashion world turns people's heads but I believe it's an industry that always ends up putting them back in their place when their time is over.

god forbid she have an opinion or a moral compass.

if she doesn't want to do it, she takes the financial loss. call her a bad model or whatever, say that she isn't cut out for her line of work, but in the end Charlotte comes out of this with a lighter paycheck, but a much clearer conscience.

I don't care one way or the other about fur or Charlotte free, but I think it's good that she, like any young person, cares about things other than her own advancement and he own bank account.
