Model Casting S/S 14

I'd like to echo what you two are saying. Somehow Balenciaga doesn't feel as "elite" anymore now that A.Wang is in charge.

Balmain and Barbara Bui's cast was pretty similar, with the latter adding Malaika and a few others into the mix.

ROFLMAO @ Rick Owens's cast!:rofl::rofl: Well at least it's quite diverse though

I can't wait to see that in motion, so much better than a plethora of blond girls.

Balmain's casts have gone downhill so drastically since Christophe left. I mean, when Elisabeth Erm and Manon Leloup are your muses...
Not much star power either.

I literally gasped when I saw Daria at Balenciaga, such a pleasant surprise.
Great to see Julia too.

yeah Christophe had his favorites, but they were sexy in their own ways and all had such vibrance added to the collection not always new or exciting clothes but girls Daria, Carmen, Freja, Natasha, Maryna, Snejana added their own unique personality to make the clothes seem so much more expensive. It shows that Olivier doesnt really have much of a voice and leaves his casting up to the casting director/stylist. I mean it took him how many seasons to cast more than one black girl in his show. He should be trying to add more non-white girls just because he can

[Shrugs shoulders]. Unremarkable.

Yep. Has been for a few seasons now too. What was up with those few girls with shaggy hair (Jamie, Edie, Lindsey - whom I normally like, that one UTM girl)? They seemed so out of place and un-Lanvin compared to the rest of the sleek looks. On the other hand, who was that black girl who came out before Ondria? Thought it was Liya at first, but she's gorgeous.

Thought it was Liya as well. In fact, Liya should have been there.

Lanvin has his faves, but also always has quite a lot of fillers. In general, they don't seem influenced by trends and I do like that.

Does MAS style Paco Rabanne now? The cast seemed to feature a lot of her faves/girls that walked shows she styles like Ferragamo/Diesel etc. for the last season or two.

I agree. Jamie herself is great, but she and the other two are so un-Lanvin and I feel like they wandered into the show by accident. Karlie should be there, as well as new fierce ones like Sasha Luss and Katya.

Fiercification, I'd say yes, I think MAS is working for Rabanne now; after all she's quite close to Julien.

#636 - Balenciaga the most important one in Paris? I think that's quite an exaggeration. In fact, it looks like there is no casting for that show at all... so many different models that almost anyone could walk for the brand at the moment. Anita's castings lack identity. They are recognizable, but not too coherent.

Oh, and Céline is way more important than Chloé, Vaccarello or Valentino...

Can someone explain to me Elizabeth Erm's opening/closing success? you know what, dont even bother... aint nobody got time for that.

^ Can anyone explain me her success in the first place. Hers and Josephine Le Tutour's.

Valerija at Margiela was my favorite fashion week appearance so far

Not sure why Elisabeth and Josephine are doing so much, they'll probably blip in a season or two so I guess they can have their moment for now.

I personally think that Elisabeth, along with Vanessa, are two of the most beautiful girls around right now.

I don't get JLT at all; never have, never will.
