^^^A gimmick? That's silly. Riccardo's casts have been consistent in terms of diversity and expanded further this season likely on account of the collection's HEAVY African, Indian/south east Asian influence - it's directional, not gimmicky.
The cast was nearly all black/mixed and in this period of discussions about racism it does feel gimmicky. But then again, his casts are always gimmicky.
Like I said, I applaud diversity (even though there were no Chinese/Japanese/Korean models), but this is not how I would have done it myself. Not to mention some models (Edie....) don't fit Givenchy at all.
I thought everybody fitted the look pretty much perfectly and Im very enthousiastic about this cast. In fact I think it's one of the best of the season...
^Funny, I didnt even notice the models' race, which I think is the ultimate benchmark. I thought everybody fitted the look pretty much perfectly and Im very enthousiastic about this cast. In fact I think it's one of the best of the season together with Rykiel, DvF and JPG. If I have to pinpoint one flaw it would be Ashleigh Good, she did not fit the story here..
Lara Stone is in Paris, I'm hoping for a show. Chanel, Vuitton or Miu Miu?
I don't really get the JLT hate. She has a classic look and looks serene on the runway.
