Model Casting S/S 14

DKNY and DVF both had great casts today, particularly the latter. I wonder if it's going to get any better than that in all honesty.

Am i the only one who found amazing the cast of hervé Leger ?? love to see a show not full of new faces and a lot of coming backs like lisanne or alla, it was precise and full of models with great walks and strong faces...

I liked Zac, he's very loyal to his models, Coco, Bruna, Constance, etc...loved the diversity of the show too.

Was there a conflict with Carolina Herrera and Tommy Hilfiger? Both had a number of top girls but I don't think anybody did both. Also, I'd imagine Herrera would be the 'better' show but some of her usuals walked Hilfiger instead.

Yeah definitely a conflict, and Hilfiger won. Very fresh cast.

Herrera had looooooooads of fillers.

Extreme conflict between the two, Tommy definitely won by a land slide. Sure, Carolina got Karlie and Hilary but Tommy was so much fresher and more current.

^ Karl Templer styles TH, so naturally that show had all the top girls in it, vs. Herrera. Aside from some exceptions, most surprisingly Amanda Murphy, who I was surprised to see at CH!

I have to say that it was one of the best shows casting wise that Hilfiger has done, and thank goodness there was a lot of diversity. So maybe, just maybe, I'll hold my breath for Valentino this season .

I'm not saying it's sufficient, but out of a total cast of 26 it's kind of the average of fashion shows.
But why is Donna Karan's name on the list of designers being accused of racism, while Gucci isn't when last season they cast only 1 black girl and 2 asian girls.

Mte, how Gucci wasn't on that ENTIRE list of like 15 designers is pretty baffling.

I guess they give Gucci a pass because Joan Smalls has been in four of their campaigns. Not saying that makes it okay for the lack of diversity, but somehow they walked away scotch free from all the diversity drama...

I really didn't care for Marc by Marc Jacob's cast, very boring and bland other than Kati and Fei Fei. I have to say though, Vanessa Axente looked perfect closing! She's doing so well

There was a conflict between Oscar and Narciso Rodriguez for sure, but I honestly think both casts were quite fresh, Narciso obviously having more newfaces and Oscar more established but there was a good mix between the two of them. I was surprised to not see Vanessa at Narciso but then I realized the shows were only around an hour apart and it made sense to me then.

Michael Kors will be nothing special. I predict Karmen as the opener/closer. I can't wait for CK and Marc Jacobs. can we just skip today?
