I don't think Rianne would fall into the 'hit' category, her level of success was always moderate (never in a bunch of Vogue covers at one or opening 10 shows per season or someone's steady muse), pretty much the average duration of an international model's career, like Adina Fohlin's or Louise Pedersen.. even Madelaine Hjort.. 2 or 3 years of constant work (not necessarily monumental success), then they start to fade.. that isn't a one-hit wonder for me, just another model of a particular mood/season in fashion.
I do see Meghan Collison as a bit of a one-hit wonder though, she's more than proven to be a wonderful model despite her strong look being a little hard to mold.. and I think that's got to do with the path her career took as well?. We shouldn't forget that fashion (not just the modeling industry) capitalises on fickleness, if you find a look that captures a season the way a shearling coat does, it's pretty obvious you'll see it/her everywhere and by spring comes, just the idea of seeing any more will be repulsive.. some girls are lucky to have a ton of versatility or at least a handful of classic features that allow them to ride such crazy tides, but other girls', because they have a very defined look, will naturally have a harder/impossible time doing that.
Also agree on Olya, which is a shame, she was quite cute!.
I was thinking of this girl the other day,
Sharon Ganish. She was Versace's muse from 2002-2004 (?), so up high and Donatella quite desperate to push her, and them bam, never saw her again.
