Tara Gill
By far the most underrated model on my list. Such a strong, unique, sensual face. I can't even begin to describe how much better I like this girl than all the Annas, Laras, and Viktoriyas out there. And yet she doesn't even get b-list work (runway aside)!
Alana Zimmer
Flawless, serene beauty and versatility to boot. Someone give the girl a major campaign already!
Sara Blomqvist
She's doing alright, still on the rise, I hope, but she doesn't get half the attention she deserves. Sara doesn't take a bad picture, even when they try their best to ruin her (see patrizia pepe campaign). Easily one of the five best newcomers.
Ali Stephens
Ali has this fresh, wholesome-but-strong, athletic beauty that I don't see in any other girl at the moment. It's quite rare and very appealing. Just two seasons ago, I would've agreed that she was too hyped, but now she appears to be fading compared to Karlie and Toni. Not the best runway season, less editorial work, and not a single campaign in sight?
Bette Franke
So much unrealized potential. I always found her look interesting and quite sexy in a rough way, and she's a good model, expressive. She's only 19, though, and still in the mix, so perhaps her real breakthrough is yet to come.
Marina Peres
I'm not sure someone who did several major campaigns - and still walks top runways fours years later - can be called underrated. But with all these comebacks and Duracell-Raquel still going strong, I wish someone would give Marina's career a jumpstart. It baffles me that no one takes a chance on these amazing, experienced, underexposed models who really know how to work it, instead of chasing after the newest of the new (and/or most overexposed) like everyone else.
