Most Underrated Model

Alice Gibb, i don't get why she isn't everywhere.... But her look might be too unique for making it big like Natasha Poly etc. She had great moments, like opening Alexander McQueen, scoring D&G, Burberry, Alexander McQueen campaign an Vogue Cover, serveral major editorials etc.. But in the end she's underrated.

Ksenia Kahnovich. :judge: I think that almost all of tFS would agree... or at least the Ksu fans.

I agree. I love Alice's look and I'd like to see more of her. :flower:

Oh, I can never have too much Ksenia  . But on the bright side she is doing remarkably well (in fashoion) for someone coming from the reality/"top model" franchise :) .

I'm a fan of Ksenia Kahnovich now, i did not know she was a Reality Show Alumni with that being said she's doing QUITE WELL for herself being that she's done Versace Shows as well as appeared in a few campaigns WAY TO GO; Ksenia Kahnovich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its not easy being accepted in the real world of Modeling when you won a reality show modeling competition. I wish the same for ANTM Alumni!

Darla Baker and ex-anonymous model Jenna Sauers. They both are beautiful & unique.

^ yes Marina is terribly underrated.

i think Ymre is underrated for a prada girl. also Yulia K and Ylonka V.

Yeah, but Yrme is only just starting. She is only 16. I think she'll get there.

I think Bette is very underrated. That girl should be everywhere, she is amazing.

Ana Mihajlovic!
she hasn't so many fans here, but i think that she has the most unique and still beautiful look.
ana is really great model, and one of the best runway models out there..

^ I would certainly agree with you, print wise especially... However, I tend to believe that the issue may be linked with her various placements that has been quite a mess...

I second Masha Tyelna, she's done some incredibly good editorial work this year and I really hope that the ones that love her won't give her up to focus on another one single only girl of the season...
I arrived to a point where I realise how much I dislike some aspects of that "girl of the season" system... The girl who does everything just because she's the girl of the season...
It kinda spoils her when she doesn't match the aesthetic of one special show and gives the impression that she's been casted just because she's the girl of the moment... For exemple, I was pleased that Frida hasn't walked Prada even if I like her a lot, and I must confess that I lost interest into some girls that I was pretty much into before fashion week as I have the feeling that I've already seen too much of them in a short amount of time... :innocent:

I also agree with Marina Perez and Alice Gibb... and surely more than those...

I lost interest in a lot of newbies because of the overwhelming hype.

You're absolutely right. I mean i like newfaces better than (the most) established girls, but there is a certain invasion of newbies walking more than 50 shows and opening like the most important shows, such as a girl like Mirte Maas who recently opened Alexander Wang, Donna Karan, Yves Saint Laurent and closed Philosophy di Alberta Feretti & RM until the next season's casting have started and casting directors found their new muses and no one is interested anymore in "the last season's big thing".

You can totally see a downgrade for following former "season stars": Karolin Wolter, Katrin Thormann, Hanna Rundlöf, Madisyn Ritland, Addison Gill

Btw Has Marsh some kind of passion for Dutch girls? I noticed that he's always casted between 6-9 Dutch newbies for his shows, strange, since Lisanne de Jong (who's a sweetheart but very let's say replacable-looking) was Prada Excl. and opened Miu Miu O.o?

I think I read somewhere an interview where he openly said so...

I love Dutch girls and hadn't waited the wave to do so, I understand that the invasion/buzz system must have been a good way to bring them to people's attention yet I find it hard and a bit brutal to suddenly jump into such a big ready-made wagon, whatever the invasion comes from...

I totally agree with Sara Blomqvist being painfully underrated. And if we can explain the lack of print for some girls by the fact their not as photogenic as they walk well, we totally can't say that for Sara. Every single piece of her editorial book convinced me. I'd rather say it's maybe where the problem is. Everything with her can be too perfect. Her walk is great, her poses too and so on. She doesn't have the magical flaws of an Abbey-Lee Kershaw, a Karlie Kloss, Eniko, Myf, Freja etc.

As for the Dutch girls I don't think the world was waiting for Russell to join the bandwagon. The first ones to credit are the people from Dutch agencies who do such an amazing job. Relentlessly. If some other countries had better scouting network they could do as well as the Netherlands. Of course the hype doesn't come from nowhere. Dutch agencies have been more selective than ever with a more aggressive strategy to develop, place and promote their girls. And there are more agencies now, of more different type etc. But somehow Dutch girls always existed in the industry at the highest level. Doutzen, Kim, Iekeliene, Lara Stone... many names for many years already.

As for the underrated girls, I'd rather say that today a model is either underrated or overrated. There might even not be a single girl who's getting the right level of hype, exposure or work. But everything goes fast enough to be more or less balanced.
