The Agency - Reality TV show about the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency

Yes, more Josh Wald please...:muscles:

I read on SurvivorSucks that Becky is at Trump now...their women's board is better than Wilhemina's right?

They have Lisa Cant, Hye Park, Polina Kouklina. So it's pretty good.

Out of a national model contest, those are the best 10 they could find? The winner isnt anyone I would sign to my agency.......

My thoughts exactly. Sorry I'm two days late getting back about this episode, but seriously? Those 10 girls were the best they could find? I wouldn't have looked twice at any of them. They all seemed short, stubby, and forgettable to be honest.

I think for the most part Becky was on point about everything..the only thing I didn't like was when she was telling that girl to go home because of her skin. It really wasn't that bad and from what I hear most agencies can work with it. If I had someone dishing out fake sympathy to me like she was I would have got mad. I mean the girl had acne like any other teenager but the way she got in her face about it made me mad.

The thing that's very easy to forget is that reality TV just isn't reality TV unless there's some entertainment factor, and usually that comes in the form of drama. I'm sure that The Agency's goal is to appeal to viewers that are both well-versed in fashion and those that aren't, and while the former would be content with just watching the innerworkings of a major agency, I'm pretty sure that the latter would be bored out of their minds.

the guy , the blonde that had to cut his hair is the same guy that was on 8th and ocean.. Tyler i think.. He had to be in that love campaign with britt and she was being dramatic because teddy was up for the job also... anyway that was weird and then i thought i saw britt in this one to , but she was blacked out

i have a very close friend whos one of the top girls on the womens board. she was shocked when she watched the show- they REALLY played up the bitchiness- lots of it is very scripted too. it also doesnt really show the supportive side of the agency- because they do put ina lot of work for these girls. ive met some of the agents and theyre quite friendly.

but yes- becky is crazy... but i think she played a huge role in the workings of that agency

I actually liked Becky a bit more this episode. I didn't agree with the girl they choose for the contract, I wished the Asian girl had won, based on looks alone.

I have a question- I noticed on the first episode that they measured one model with her jeans on and held it very losely. That can easily add two inches- but do they measure like that all the time at agencies?

Well, their men's board seems good. I actually liked their pic for the model search, she was adorable. I dunno, those are the types of models I'd want if I had an agency, but they're soooo commercial. They're beautiful, but they're just not unqiue enough for the current state of the industry. I wish them the best though, cause I couldn't handle Becky! She's a crazy b*tch!

I finally watched the 2nd episode yesterday evening. I'm still a little undecided but I'll probably keep watching it to see how it develops. I completely agree with kellynjane, but something about that show turns me off--probably how it seems very scripted.

It kind of frustrated me. It would have been boring without the eccentric lady. I think maybe they are mean in a way that isn't always funny... which I didn't like. Is Wilhemina really the top model agency for guys in NYC? It sounded unlikely..

i laughed outloud when greg asked the new model adam to "close your eyes, then imagine you're a badass" (or somesuch) and then blithely starts flipping thru a magazine.

becky kinda got on my nerves last night. as much as she's a perfect character for reality TV, she is so unbelievably unprofessional. and not to mention, a total alcholic. she'll show up next on that A&E show "intervention" just wait!

and really, did they honestly think they were going to find the next supermodel at the grand ole opry? the whole trip was doomed from the beginning (and kinda staged, imo).

eh. i wanted to edit this to spell alcoholic correctly, but didn't get back in time.

I agree. I didn't understand why out of all the different places they could have gone scouting they picked wherever that was. I was laughing so hard when those twins were singing country music. I think they must have thought it was an american idol audition. I've seen more potential models in my town than I saw that whole time they were scouting.

I watched the 3rd episode a couple of hours ago and it got a little bit better, mainly because of the whole "badass role-playing" scene.

The show does seem a little too staged but I'm really curious to see what happens at Wilhelmina, especially since they play it up to be the top model agency for men in NYC.

It really is ^_^

Regarding the trip down south - poor Pink, that's all I can say.
