The Costume Institute Gala 2009: The Model as Muse

Shalom needs to go home and remove those trashbags from her body. her dress should match her beautiful face.

Kate B looks stunning. i'm pleasantly surprised with Emma Roberts, she looks like she's been doing this for years. and Liv Tyler always looks gorgeous to me. =D

probably the worst Costume Gala.... and most people who came to the gala are not even part or at least make no clue on this " the model as muse " .. i guess the organizers felt like didn't have the best choices so now they had to go throw the scrap bins to get the extras.. this is just bad.

Saann I don't think my eyes could take it if the 3 of them posed together

:lol:I somehow think that will be ALTs wet dream

with leighton she atleast is naturally gorgeous, so that's what's stopping her from crossing over from the confused to the WTF side imo
but the other two:shock:

Iman and Coco looks like goddesses. no questions asked. i'm not keen on Emmy Rossum's dress, but i love her makeup, it's perfection.

L-O-V-I-N-G Alek Wek! That color against that skin tone make her look dream-like.

I think too many people took the "Costume Institute Gala" a little too literally this year.

The standouts for me:

Alex Wek in that magenta mindress. Very striking against her dark skin.
Leighton Meester- She looks like one of the few people who had fun with her outfit.
Lake Bell- Love the androgynous look. She definitely stands out from the crowd.
Shalom- one of my favorite models ever. She looks so dramatic.

I don't get the fuss over Marion- she looks washed out in that dress.
