ehh so they aren't sold at bloomingdales... i checked this afternoon. i tried on jeans by earnest sewn, joe's and rag & bone but they were all darker than what i was looking for....hmmm... i might have to order some siwys online and send them back if they don't fit...

i know they used to sell at neiman's. i see that your from boston and if you go to their site it has intermix listed and jean therapy and some others.

i got some habituals from the consignment store down the street...they were exactly what i wanted...yay!

that's cool, prob a good bargain!
i haven't heard that name in a while though. those people now design for helmut lang or something

i need a new pair of skinny jeans. i really want them in a medium blue color and to be free of whiskering, fading, etc. the only skinny jeans that i've tried that have really fit me well are deener and bershka jeans but all the deener ones i have seen are dark and i got the bershkas in spain...i'm tall and thin but most of the time when jeans fit me in the thighs, they are a little too big on my waist...any suggestions? :flower:

i dont think jbrands would be good for you if you are worried about the loose waist.. i have same problem as you have, almost all the skinny jeans are tight on the legs but then big on the waist...best jeans that have solved this problem of mine have been so far: cheap mondays, miss sixty jlots, dr denims, and whyred jeans..i dont know if you can get all those in the u.s. though...
also finding the right blue color with the right fit can be difficult..

try a higher waisted skinny

if you want something more narrower and form fitting ............not a miss sixty corset waist but mid rise skinny ...

Can people with bigger legs pull off skinny jeans? I probably can't because my legs are way too curvy so with such tight-fitting pants on, I could never get the straight-legged look skinny jeans show off.

if they're confident and feel at home with the lookthey sure can.
btw skinny jeans (that taper or narrow towards the ankle) and straight leg are two different things.
straight leg might be better for you...give you the same streamlined look without revealing all of yer curves.

plus the really tapered look is already going out of trend/fashion/style.

also, for JBrand--just size down one to resolve the loose waist problem. cheapmonday in my experience with the 'Tight' style stretched out a lot at the waist and its not low rise, more mid-rise.

people are just starting to wear skinny jeans at my school. It makes me want to throw mine away but I love them too much.

^^ I know how you feel when everyone starts wearing some trend and you just want to avoid it.

really? just started. I had thought this was already a completely global trend. only the non-fashion conscious still wore bootleg kinda thing.....

oh no there are still millions of people who can not let go their bellbottoms..
skinny jeans are still a "new" and such far trend for them. just like moving to bellbottoms was years back...

upcoming trends aside, for me skinny jeans represent the rocknroll lifestyle i adore and the bands i listen to....i dont think i can let go in a long time, come what may...

I love both straight and skinny jeans.. as for brands, I love Acne jeans! They are so comfy!

I gotta say.. I'm really into skinny jeans. I have six pairs of em
and I don't really wear any other type of jeans anymore mainly because
the others just don't flatter me as much (I have the weirdest body
type).

I got red skinny jeans from Mango, two identical ones from
a local brand called "Pink Soda", a black one from Dickies (I got it really
cheap!!) and two customized ones made by Viktor Jeans (they're awesome!)

I saw silver skinnies from Topshop and they look quite nice!

not very clear..

they're bespoke jeans (made to fit or you can just indicate the details) from the Philippines (Manila and Quezon City).

where do you buy the viktor jeans? how is the fit??

Yep ^-- what she said above. The fit is AWESOME! I really love em! And I've
been wearing them nonstop! I might get my third pair done soon actually!
Hahah~ I don't think I'll be buying jeans from other stores anymore
considering that the price is almost the same but the fit is just way better, IMO.

you're right--the only other bespoke jeans place i've heard about that was reasonable and not a tailor = Levi's SF Flagship store, but i think they stopped that service. :( It's an expensive gimmick... hahaha.

the next time i go to the PI I'm stopping by there for sure, but i heard the jeans used to be cheaper tho--like 80USD instead of ~110 now.
