I feel that you can dress up skinny jeans and they look nicer.
I love skinny jeans, the whole look is just amazing.

Those are original unwashed Cheap Mondays, trying to channel Mary Kate's Nylon cover with the Ralph Lauren plaid top.

Thanks lostinemotion, those are definitely not straight leg, but looking at them I do see that they look a bit straight leg.

i need to find a pair that doesnt stretch out at the waist and bag at the knees after a day of wearing..can anyone suggest a brand that doesnt do this in the $50-$100 range?

cheap monday tight seriously bag at the knees and stretch a lot by the end of the day...but they bounce back in the morning--they are 65$ retail. but in this price range...uh, just wait for stuff like jbrand to go on sale and size down 1.

but all jeans eventurally bag at the knees and stretch at the waist.

Where do you Americans buy your skinny jeans? I recently returned from a year in France and whoa was I shocked to get back to Middle of Nowhere, Georgia. In France everyone was wearing skinny jeans, but here I haven't been able to find them, except for in Aéropostale and those were really too loose to be classified as "skinny jeans," same goes for Express. Plus I'm really tall and they were all too short.

It seems that they kind of skimmed through the skinny phase and jumped right into the widelegs, which are much more abudant as they look better on a wider variety of body shapes I suppose. But I'm saddened that they are not high-waisted, but that is another post entirely!

urban outfitters, h&m, intermix, local boutiques, department stores, online stores (active endeavors, tobi, revolve, etc)...and so on?

edit--you can always mod some bootlegs into skinnies. :]

I only wear siwy at the moment and they never bag at the knees at all.
I'm not sure why, but the sales person said that something is with the waist band that makes it stay up. I will try to remember, but it's too early.
The grace wash is my recent favorite. I'm so dirty, I wear them almost everyday!
You can see them on tobi.com, but not sure what they have left.

I must say Cheap Mondays do withstand the bagging of the leg and stretching of the waistband for some time. I have been wearing literally every skinny jean in their collection, other than the ones that have been released in the past month or two, and I have yet to see a change in my jean.

I buy my Cheap Mondays from Tobi, because even though it is so much easier to sashay down into the city and go to Urban Outfitters they rarely have a lot of selection or my correct size. Not to mention, only their Soho store sells Cheap Monday.

Someone I know questioned me on mine - as of which store I bot them at.

Urban Outfitters, Express, Abercrombie, etc. were of the stores listed.

But he wasn't even close.

Hot Topic. :]

And wow are they cheap. I got mine for $30 and they looked good, almost better, than the ones he bot from an expensive boutique.

in this photo it appears that the girl is wearing cheap mondays. can anyone tell me the name of the wash?

That takes guts to admit

So glad I live in Canada where Hot Topic doesn't exist...

It has taken me a long time to realize that there ARE fashionable things in Hot Topic.

Believe me, I used to be a little Prep kid shopping at American Eagle, until I realized that American Eagle is stuck in the same season ALL YEAR LONG.

I think those Cheap Mondays might be the tight skinny jeans in original unwashed?

or else the shine denim

sorry for the big pictures of bums!

I need a new pair of jeans and was thinking of getting these. While high waisted wide leg might be a bit more 'on trend' i'm short and thus wide leg jeans just make me feel funny. How much did people have to size up on average? Just one size?

i went true to size with the tight OD black, but one up for the unwashed is a good idea for initial fit.

thanks lesy. I was going to order them off tobi but didn't realize the shipping was $30 which is more than annoying so i'm going to have to find a stockist now....
