harem pants in boot is totally different because it's not like bootcuts sticking out of boots, which is what i meant.
denim fabric.

I've seen this style in several shops now, what do people think? I'm bored of just blue/black/grey skinnies

^ those kind of remind me of something that was going on in the early 2000s, i think Diesel sported this look but of course not in skinny fit.
I think they look decent. :)

Well, I really like them (except for the light distressing) and wouldn't think of Waldo...if anything, they make me think of workwear from the early 1900s...like stripes for train conductors' overalls, etc. :]

Hehe, i should be more brave! I don't like distressing either, but I'm in a wheelchair so sat down all the time & so doubt people wil see the top bits!! :)

never say never ........but wearing cropped skinny jeans with boots is more comfy and it fits better , i wear cropped siwy hannah . Actually the baggy look with boots is already coming with jodhpurs and harem pants tucked in boots , well like its sooo common now to see a girl with tucked in jeans in UGG boots ...its getting ridiculous. I think fashion isnt so much about what flatters as it is to be different , like skinnies look bad on 90% of most girls over 16 but yet they are popular , because until recently it was different , but now every other girl sports them , it loses its cool and uniqueness. In 2004 , most girls would never dream of wearing tapered jeans , now look . Now samething goes for high waisted jeans , people swore off them , calling them mom jeans , but now people are starting to adopt the look , stores windows are full of mannequins in high waisted jeans. The women behind all this ...kate moss ...same women responsible for skinnies meteoric rise , kate wore high waisted flares to the topshop show in fall 2006 and now look.

yea very true! if there was an award for "most influential person in fashion" (in terms of bottoms) kate would get it. She really did propel the skinny and high waisted look. And i was definitely one of those people that would never in their life wear (i called them the mom look) tapered jeans around 2004 and now it's all i have in my closet.

I'm also tired of blue/grey/black skinnies. Bring on the acid and light-stonewash skinnies. I want some really bad!!

I'm definitely still not ready to give up my skinnies, but I am ready for some different washes, like mcnuwave^

The harem pant? Are those the same pants the girls were wearing at Balenciaga FW 07 show?

Also, the acid and light stonewash are becoming really hot in New York. I dont like them for me though, too 80s.

really! do you know what brands. I know American Apparel but has some, but i want other options. I love the 80s/early 90s and some Acid wash ones would complete my wardrobe lol and make me happy!! And it'll help with spring coming up.

^At first I cringed when I read the word "acid," but then I found this pic from topman.com and my mind changed:

They ship to the US now as well, not Canada unfortunately =/

EDIT: You may like these as well, they're "ice wash," but they look similar and I quite like them.

i love topman, and i love those...both of them actually. When W-2s come in, i know what i'm getting!!

how did i forget topman lol

thanx toddiot!!

They are both really nice, and probably around 45-50 dollars which isn't terrible at all.

If only I lived in the UK I could just pop into a Topman and buy everything I wanted (which is a lot, Topman blows my mind!)

No problem mcnuwave! You'd better post some pictures when you get the jeans I found for you :D

of course of course!

and i'm sorry they don't ship to UK lol i may buy an extra pair.:D

Check the site out. They might have other washes that you find appealing.

Uh, easiest option I'd imagine is the Urban Outfitters' house brand called BDG which comes in a variety of stone wash and acid wash skinny jeans for about ~65$...when not on sale.

i think acid wash makes people look dumpy...lol
i did have fun wearing them as knee shorts when i was a kid with a big flurescent pink tee with a smiley face.
lol
harem pants are more like a band at the waist, then full like sweatpants, but have a band at the bottom, like 2-4" wide band...usually in silky fabrics.
i would not recommend in denim.

Thanks girl. They arent what I am thiking about though. The pants I am talking about were at Balenciaga if I am not mistaken. They billow out at the waist and then tighten around the leg, all the way to the bottom where they are tapered.

There you go. I dont know I thought the name of them was harem pants. I LOVE THEM, especially in that khaki color.

that's actually a VERY cute cut..
i was just wondering what it is. it reminds me of vintage jeans from the 60s, that were not quite as tight, but not frumpy....hmmmm
