are they narrows?

yeah. very tapered at the leg and mid(high)rise. :) love 'em!!!!
the tag is a bit different too, its not white badge with the skull but just a black skull badge. i guess they are kind of different/new.

Arent original unwashed, od black, and unwashed Cheap Mondays low rise? I guess because I am so short waisted they dont fit so low. I dont understand why. LOL.

crakk--aren't those washes rather than cuts?
the most common cheap mondays in the US appear to be the style called Tight which has a 9'' rise... <7'' rise has been called low and 11'' is high, so 8-9'' is about mid, eh?

miss6o thanks fer the review...
i really want a pair of narrows -- they only come in lightweight dry, right?
...i have a pair of probably shrunken Lux jeans i got thrifting (lol) that fit like the pair on Tobi's model...i'd still love the cut in a sturdy waxed black overdye or a dry lightweight indigo. :]

oh and i remember the flaming in this thread about wearing skinnies to work (and you mentioned you just wore yer narrows to work)--i've been wearing skinny jeans to work at a doctor's office, even showed up w/ my black CMs and allblack chucks, and no one has said a thing. haha.

I've been trying to get away from the skinny jeans, but after attempting the wide leg Jane Birkin look, its not happening. I just am too short to do the wide leg; anyone else have that problem?

Also I saw some Cheap Mondays on the sale rack of Urban Outfitters for a pittance.

Skinny jeans it looks like I'll be here a while...

Do you mean the material of the jeans (lightweight dry)? I think come in all kinds of styles. But maybe for that you might have to visit the actual Weekday store in Stockholm. Hard to say what they carry in the U.S. cause here they carry about 50 different kinds. :D Mine are blueish black, kind of raw denim (huge thing here now), very narrow and midrise waist (up to my bellybutton). I can try to look at the tag if I still have it (maybe its inside my pants as well but Im at work so I cant pull them down now lol). I work in a corporate office and I wear skinny jeans as well as do other management assistants, specialists and controllers etc. here. They have not said anything.. I even saw a guy sporting skinny jeans today at the cafeteria. Very strange for an engineer but cool!!

i am not too short, but i can't wear wide jeans because their are no shoes and honestly, it makes my small pear shape body look like a dump truck.

GIRL, LOL:lol:. I think the wide leg jean looks good when you wear a tight blouse, pearls, and some sort of bangle. EEH, maybe not. I just saw this girl in the Village serve it up that way, and I loved it.

^yeah I like the idea of sort of flipping the looks: tight shirt w/ wide leg, slightly flowing shirt w/ skinnies (it's more comfortable that way too IMO)

...so trendy at least for 07--the turbin, dark wash skinnies, and what could, today, be an american apparel sweater. :ninja:

wow that is a beautiful photo of Audrey and i (L) her outfit, i would wear it right now!

hi- quick question for ksubi lovers....i'm putting in a re-order for my store, and wondered if you lovely ladies have a favorite wash for the super skinny zip....i have

-squwak
-pre-loved raw indigo
-vintage indigo

which is the softest of them all?

thanks!!

ilovepositano - the squwak are not that soft but they are super super flattering so I imagine they would fly out the door - vintage indigo are nice but due to the vintaged-ness of them they stretch out pretty badly. Why no phoenix sun? they are super soft and look fantastic on. As for the raw indigo, it wouldn't be everyones cup of tea so maybe fewer of them? out of those three def the squarwk is my favourite i live in mine practically every day. . next phoenix sun. The $2 blue skinny pins are great too, but running small.

tuga - why that store? looked a bit and pretty limited selection - the two best brands jbrand and earnest sewn had only a t shirt and one pair of bell bottom jeans- you can buy both of these brands on revolveclothing.com however with lots and lots of selection and only $10 postage anywhere in the world? just wondered if there was a reason u wanted to use that shop?

Greenlady - it's a well known store where I live...known for great jeans. (I'm hoping they would have better selection at the store though)
I wouldn't buy jeans online because I'm scared of not getting a good fit. I would only buy online if I'd already tried that brand on personally and was adding to my wardrobe...u know what i mean?
Thanks for your opinion on the best brands though :)

Girl friends of mine have worn skinny jeans. What I've liked most was skinny jeans paired with either flats or low-heel pumps. I don't think I necessarily like skinny jeans with higher heels, but I do like the skinny look provided by legwarmers. I've never liked skinny jeans for those who don't have skinny legs. However, I've seen some lovely looks for those who have the legs to make these work.
