Thigh High / Over the Knee Boots

It's true, It's so hard to find a woman in the street wearing those boots... because all think "if you wear those boots.. you are a hooker ", but I think a woman looks incredibly beautiful and sexy in those.

i agree, plus its one thing as to what they look like on the models legs compared to most women and i agree they have to be pretty form fitting otherwise they have the possibility of looking a tad "pirates of the caribbean" lol

i love the zara one's posted, so nice and have a cute platform. they look expensive and zara shoes are so nicely made. this is coming from a girl who wears prada and gucci most of the time too...
they def have to be super fitted otherwise you do look like puss in boots.

Flair just published a couple of stories focused on thigh high boots.

I really loved the styling they used to present them.. it's fresh, autumnal and not overly sexual.. not even the pink pair.

I would never buy Knee high boots.
If you fancy these boots only as flats! Never high heel, it looks awful.. hooker-like sorry no affence

I have the Isabel Marant ones and they are so well made and the heel not too hight, so super chic!

I have a pair of sued over the knees that Ive been wearing since last year. I live a town that's pretty behind fashion/trend wise so I would get looks sometimes but I would ALWAYS get compliments on them and people asking me where I got them. Actually a lot of women, especially older ones said they wanted boots like them because they dont show off the shape of the calf as much.

it sucks that these are so stigmatized. it's quite irrational, just like the (now fading) stigma of fishnet stockings. denim booty shorts are appropriate schoolgirl fare but a sliver of skin just above the knee is lewd and deserving of demeaning commentary from passersby.

I have knee-high boots... Flat, Black...from Zara. I adore them. I do think they are as high as you can get though. If I wear a mini-skirt and the boots I already get so much attention... I think you have to have a good figure to pull that look off - thankfully I'm blessed. But thigh-highs - as sexy as I find them - look only good on the runway I think.

Cool.

I love pirate boots. XD

My biggest concern was on how they were going to be picked up by retailers. It's going a bit like I expected. To many retailers are way to shy: no heel, only just a few centimeters over the knee, very conservative materials, dull is the word I'm looking for. What surprised me was that women here bought the fine ones anyway, allthough they're pretty hard to come by. Ok, in numbers they're not many, but I've seen good tries at this trend and not only from women size zero.

It's tempting to conclude that the actual consumer reads the fashion magazines better than the people in the retail business.

I bought these a few months ago at the end of our winter. Not the brightest idea but I have gotten use out of them with short dresses etc.
They are tight fitted with a wedge heel they have a buckle over the ankle area.
I don't think they're 'hookerish' I think they look classy or even quirky worn with the right outfit...

Excuse the blurryness my camera isn't shock proof and even the slightest shaking of the hand makes a huge impact -.-

Oh, I would love a pair of tigh high flat black boots. But sadly for those of us that are calf-challenged and have a hard time finding any boots that fit, this is an impossible look.

high boots look cute, but practical? i just cant imagine working all day in boots that are all the way up my thigh it just doesnt seem comfortable.

I have the thigh higs boots from Zara, and they are not less comfortable than my Converse.

I have thigh highs from Zara as well and they are pretty comfy.

There's a thin line between classy and trashy. I prefer flat thigh high boots to avoid the "hooker" look  But really, it depends on so many factors like the body type, quality of boots, etc.
