Will people be able to see the difference between typicly hookerish boots and the more stylish ones?

I think it's all about what you wear them with (I would prefer loosly fitted clothing) and how your make-up and hair is

I would try to keep make-up and hair very natural if the boots are sexy..
and try not to stand too long in a streetcorner

I would definitely turn my head for a better look, since I don't expect that the trend is going to be much appreciated...

As for a marriage proposal... I'm happily married to a woman, who owns over a 100 pairs of shoes, including some of the nicest overknee boots.

i imagine wearing it with a super fitted "mans shirt" style shirt and a wide belt.

That would work very well. From the runway I liked the Emilio Pucci look the most. He does tunics and cocktail dresses with huge fur coats and loosely fitting boots.

I love thigh high boots. I definitely think that you need to think carefully about the outfit, so you don't look too "pretty woman-ish". I love the shiny topshop ones.. does anyone know if they will be appearing on the website at all?

does anyone know any nice fitting one's with a perfect round toe (not too round) that does not cost an arm and a leg? (no pun intended)
i think it only looks good if they are fitted..

got a really nice pair of vintage suede thigh high boots with a round toe for my wife. 2nd hand on an internet market place... You'll have to be lucky though.

s and OTK boots! i agree with lucy and saann, would try to be more natural or androgynous with the rest of the outfit since the boots on their own would be sexy/bad*** enough.

i am absolutely head over heels in love with YSL's version for FW09:

and i really liked these from Zara (only $269 CDN which is dirt cheap compared to the runway ones) but they do not fit over my thighs!!! love the shape of the heels:

I have the black Brian Atwood boots from last year/ they have them this year too/, and I wear them with skirts that cover the end of the boot and I'm sore they do not look sl*tty - as the heels are relatevely low, the toes are somewhat rounded and it's suede.
There is another gray pair at NAP but I think they might look sl*ttybut they are soo pretty!
