Thigh High / Over the Knee Boots

OMG, Festat. Those are FABULOUS! I really love them. Suede, the perfect length and not hooker-looking at all. I can't tell if there are heels on the boots or not though.

Indeed! I love the boots paired with the rest of the outfit! I think suede is reallt taking over for the shiny leather ones that has been such a hit where I'm from. I like it, it's less "cheap" :p

These are my new wannabe-Givenchy suede thigh high boots. :D They cost about $70. The thing that sucks about these boots is that the sides keep slipping down. Other people that bought them never had the same problem though... I need to get double-sided tape or something to hold the sides up.

(My pic, obviously)

The Givenchys are heeled, with a concealed platform (from what I can tell)

may I suggest garters? :brows:

I have the ones from Zara, the black suede ones.. Absolutely love them, they go with everything.. can be worn over jeans during the day, with a dress at night.. Plus they warm me up a little when trying to get home from Central London in the middle of the night! :) The zipper keeps getting stuck at the back though, wich is really annoying, but except for that I'm really happy with them :) They keep falling down a bit now and then, but not so much that it's a problem

I can't figure out which kind to buy whether it be flat or heeled. I don't want to risk looking hooker-ish (i'm buying online) so I'm thinking flat?

I think as long as you go suede you'll be pretty safe either way, it's the leather ones in my opinion that are risky

I too own the Zara ones, and I love them, I think they're the perfect pair as far as high-end OTK boots go. I had to get them one size smaller tho, they had run out of mine! :) ahah

I love over the knee boots. I think they are a natural extension of the legging. Suede is more casual than leather. And I don't think you should ever wear patent leather versions. Fit is super important, they have to fit perfectly on the leg (unless they are the slouchy kind).

I've bought at Zara a pair in black in faux suede and chunky heels for just €9.99 on last days of sale, I'm wearing them today in office with a super simple outfit grey skirt and black turtleneck and they look great but I'm wondering how to wear them everyday for more casual looks..

#296 was actually a new thread that got merged into this one. Thus explains the weird comment above...

For the most part, I've forgiven most thigh-high boots. I still haven't accepted them as I have jeans into boots or open-toe boots, but I've somewhat forgiven them. The worst fashion nightmare was shown some time in the past- jeans tucked into thigh-high boots or over-the-knee boots. I don't have any favorite thigh-high or over-knee boots. Still can't stop thinking of them without thinking (exotic dancer) sometimes.

I can't remember. Hard to picture too. Do you have images? Did they do it with skinny jeans?
