Kendall is beautiful and I really like a few of the photos, but she looks a bit like a bored child forced to play dress up. She doesn't project any energy, she doesn't give the photos life. Any beautiful person with a good photographer, a fantastic wardrobe, and a team of stylists/makeup artists/etc. can take a decent photo. She looks beautiful. She's not a talented model.

^ Agree completely. I am actually a little shocked, I thought she was a semi-respectable model, but here she looks like a high school kid posing for senior portraits.

^Yeah that's my problem with her print work. She really doesn't know (yet) how to work in front of the camera. Good models knows how to project themselves using their body language and expressions. She just stands and smile. And given the fact that her look is not that extraordinary to begin with, the results are always dreadfully boring.

Plus Tabitha's styling didn't help her at all.

I'm glad to see her on the cover (surprised to see people have never heard of her), but it feels so unbalanced to me. The one side is claustrophobic and the other feels empty.

Kendall's ed is lifeless and boring at best. She definitely needs to work on her expressions.

I agree Kendall looks great, not sure if it´s US Vogue cover worthy but some closeups could make excellent covers for other publications imo. This might be one of the very few times that I like her as a model, at least she´s doing something with her face
So she´s the new face of Estee Lauder? I´m kinda shocked, actually...

You're right, some shots are good, but the majority is bad. Not entirely her fault, I'm perplexed with the styling. Some of the looks are very 'youthful' and the others very 'mature'. As a result Kendall tries to emulate a woman she herself seems unsure of. Dont think Tabitha was very clear on who her demographic was here.
Probably Vogue knew about the EL deal because it's just odd that she got a coverline.

I dont hate Kendall, but the girl is not a model. Yes she has a beautiful face, but she's no Brooke Shield. She looks incredibly awkward in front of the fashion camera.

Finally Amy, she looks gorgeous. Just not too sure about the cover, but it looks okay.

Kendall's ed isn't great either. I wouldn't be surprised if she got a cover next year but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I won't happen.

Hopefully the rest of the eds is better.

Styling, pose, face EVERYTHING looks AWFUL come on That pose just does not work and people were saying Gemma Ward's Vogue Australia was bad loool Gemma's cover IS what a Vogue cover should look like but not this. How can Anna approved this? Just beyond shocked.

yay for amy! though the dress is... too naked? it feels almost scandalous and not that i'm uptight or anything! it's just quite a surprising cover choice for vogue, as it would be just as good in playboy or lui.

and the background looks somewhat poor. is this shot by annie leibovitz? she could take a hike already.

For me, US Vogue is a chasm of mediocrity.
I realized I haven't bought an issue since 2009!
I can't stand it.
Even when they have someone new, like Amy, they can't
seem to do anything aspirational with her.

And Kendall is not what I would call beautiful.
She looks completely ordinary to me. I don't get the hype.
Except she's one of the Kardashians.
She's really not that good a model.

It's tough to be US Vogue. Every June the complaints are 'they're such prudes, why wont they show more skin on the cover' and now when they do it, it's being compared to Playboy or Lui. I feel the bit of nudity that I see is very tastefully excecuted. One cannot really spot a sideboob or a bit of bum in this shot.

don't take me wrong, Benn98, i did not complain. i was only pointing to the fact that we don't see this much sexy on the cover of vogue, do we? it's always very safe to me.

I'm not sold by her facial expression. It looks awkward for me tho I love the color scheme on the cover. I believe Leibovitz shot this overly photoshopped cover
