Versace for H&M

I'm excited because I know it's gonna look fantastic, but how am I supposed to get anything all the way from over here?

Squizree to answer your question, they are also selling this collection on-line! ;)
In case it doesn't ship to your country you still have the online store, wich will be a chaos (i think) so.... as the collection wents to the online store you go and buy everything you can! :D
That online store will crash very quickly!

missoni for target, versace for h+m. honestly, the world is coming to an end.

Yeah but they only ship to like 10 European countries, not even the US :(

i'm very intrigued, but i won't go nuts until i've seen what will be available.

the studded pieces already look very expensive, at least for H&M standards. i'd say at least 150 Euros for the white dress, more if the dress is leather. 250 for the studded leather jacket?

but on the HQ pics you can already see details, like that embroidered panel on the black mini dress. will shoes be made too? i think it's common nowadays that shoes are part of the deal, right?

but i can take a wild guess now and say that most of the menswear stuff will be too tacky for me

Have you ever seen a Lanvin dress? Exact same fabric. Lanvin produced the fabrics for that collab, I'm wondering if Versace is doing the same.

Most people think that because it's H&M it must be bad quality, but most people wouldn't know good quality and construction if it hit them in the head.

i think we agreed on that several times on the Lanvin threads  but it's true! you check out Lanvin mainline pieces from a few collections back and you see the same frayed ends. a lot of people were turned off by it, but then again those people know nothing of the Lanvin aesthetics apparently.

Yeah what I can make out of the menswear was some loud Versace print tees set against a mainly black wardrobe. Also HighSnobiety in their writeup says the collection will land at about 300 stores. 100 more than normal but still less than the MW amount.

You can also see there are several bright menswear suits, a pink one, a blue one, as well as their being equally as bright shoes. Donatella shows the sketches for them in the video.

The women's shoes in those images look to be from the SS11 collection, so are either just being used for that shot, or they've been reproduced for the H&M line.

Prada would be a real news. This is ok. Kinda like when I heard about the Jimmy Choo collaboration!

its not worth getting excited over, as H&M probably wont be carrying the line in my stores...the lanvin collection was at my store but they only had a very small amount of it. it wasnt worth queuing for.

every year the stores the designer lines are carried in decrease. i'm not sure i believe that it will be carried in 300 stores, until i see the actual list of stores from H&M the days before the collection. :innocent:

i think more stores in south east asia/china will have the collection rather than here in the US.

i think donatella decided to do it to get more publicity to customers living in Asia.

bright pink lace-ups for men... i'm on the fence

we'll all be going nuts for images until Sept/Oct i believe!

looks good^_^i've got my eyes on the leather studded jacket/choker, skirt, black/white dress and footwear

i wonder who will front the campaign?

Yes I realize that now but at first I was thinking she was just in her showroom and not in the H&M room.

We did! :D Which is also the reason I think this will appeal to a larger demographic than the Lanvin collection did - honestly it didn't fly off the shelves in my town...
