Couturechic! I understand you and I think you're right. KK hasn't been around enough to open it and yes I think Adriana will open the show..and I think it's great that she will (if she will) but I think they should give the other angels a little more credit.

Mchunu<3 I think they go a little bit more urban. Last year was so mainstream.. let's keep our fingers crossed they bring back the amazing VS-Remixes
 
I really think that Alex DeButak or whatever his name was, might have been instrumental in creating a good show with good mixes and what not. His creative supervision was very good. You can tell the show's music, outfits and the general ambiance took a nosedive when he left after the 2005 show. I think he was also responsible for getting Dita for the sexy shadow dreams segment in 2005.

yea I think the other angels need to do a bit more, such as open segments. It seems to me the last couple of years they've let non angels open the segments and I personally think only the angels should be allowed to open, as well as close. But that's just my opinion. :)
 
Versace's runway music is always good! I remember a remix they did back in 2006 or 2005... it was a remix Billy Jean - Foxy Lady...

But then again I think the VSFS is a little too mainstream for that kind of music, but too be honest it is GREAT!! It isn't the type of music to wave and blow handkisses on the runway ;)
 
^^great mix :woot: but i think it's too "fashion-y" and not playful enough for a VS show..but that's just my opinion.
 
CoutureChic I share that opinion. There are only 3 contracted angels who opened a segment at the VSFS each year. It's ridiculous Alessandra never opened a segment
 
Yeah VS does do such mainstream music which upsets me :(. Like "I Got It From My Mama" Eeeeeeeek! I feel like they will play "Womanizer" and Kylie Minogue's "Wow" hahahha
 
I do go along with that, I really hope Ale would open the show but I doubt it but we can hope. if it's not her than my hopes go to Dri, but I think that's who will do it or KK. I thought it was sad enough Ale closed her first segment last year. That was just pathetic.

Well something kind of off subject but kind of on...I'm so happy we don't have to wait for west coast time on images for events/backstage/runway. That was so tiring for the last two years, and now we'll get back to getting them at decent hours.

I agree, the hair was awful last year... And I think most girls don't look good with too much hair... Ale looked especially cheap (she played with her hair so much on the runway)... And girls like Julia Stegner, whom I think is stunning, just don't stand out with too much hair... Their faces get "lost" in the locks!
 
i just don't think they should put any rap at all in VS music..and no i don't have anything against rap but...and also, no rock. i loved that segment with the Vines "Get free" but they need to go back to mixes and people singing in their music..not people yelling at the top of their lungs..not classy, and the classy image is what they should be going for. :sick:

I really wish they did a Miami Vice theme, like Alexander Wang SS09. They at least better work the theme song into the fashion show soundtrack hahaha

they played "drop it like it's hot" and a few others.
 
and i don't think that was good choice of song either, which is why they are becoming less and less of a class act. but i love that song ^_^
