Vogue Italia April 2018 : Adut, Birgit & Amandine by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

Beautiful covers and photography, everything looks great to me, but so unnecessary to have multiple covers, especially in this case where all 3 have almost the very same styling. I'm on board with everything else, just wished they picked one.

Birgit and Amandine are just fold-outs.

I'm so happy for Adut! She is such a great girl, her beauty is astonishing.
I wish the cover was better though: that light is very annoying. It makes the image cold, I would define it clinical because it reminds me of the light there is at the hospital.

The covers of Birgit and Amandine are for the foldout by the way: it is confirmed by Vogue Italia on instagram and one can understand it because there is only the text "Birgit (or Amandine) by Mert and Marcus" whereas in Adut's cover (which is the Main one) there is the complete text with "Girls next door"

Still, I'm happy that someone as dark-skinned as Adut got a major cover like this.

Adut is slaying through this season. The lazy layout needs to go. they could do something simple instead of rehashing an old layout. I really adore the image here but I'm pretty sure there must have been a better shot for the cover. It must be the 'Chanel' covers I guess. Overall, this is a huge improvement but still far behind from what it used to be.

Couldn’t be any happier in this very moment, I’m so thrilled to be sharing with the world my very first ever vogue cover for @vogueitalia April 2018 Issue wearing @chanelofficial shot by the incredible beings @mertalas and @macpiggott
This cover means so much to me for many reasons. One of them being that I’m just a South Sudanese refugee girl who didn’t come from much, who only dreamt and hoped with no expectations of things like this actually ever happening.
This was only ever a dream for me, but never in a million years did I ever think I’d be on the front cover of a vogue magazine, but look I’m on the front cover of Italian Vogue!!! Another proud project that not only allows me to represent for south Sudanese people but also other individuals of colour all around the world.
Mama is going to be one proud mother knowing that her baby girl now has 2 vogue covers!!! ☺️
