Vogue Paris December 2009/January 2010 : Laetitia Casta by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

the stories by themselves are good.
i like them all, i think.

but sincerely no "butterfly" in my heart for this issue.

don't they used to have a supplement for xmas gifts ?
mmm ... i don't remember.

there's 16 of Almodovar by BWeber ... that is nice to look at ...

the Jane How + McLellan editorial features ONLY vintage YSL ....
which is very nice !

I am so incredibly disappointed with the cover. It reminds me to much of Vogue Italia by Meisel back to McMenamy's July cover.
I don't mind Laetitia but this is not what I was expecting. The contents looks good and I can't wait to see the calendar.
Thanks a lot for posting!

Sooooo True

Oh she IS pretty and can take some good pics, and she does have features that suit beauty eds pretty well, but to see her so much in VP is a bit random at that point in her career... But then again her career is VERY random so...

! It is a bit odd. I guess it could even be said that her career is solely in VP ! I don't mind at all though. She always takes excellent shots for the magazines. I find it kind of funny how VP has front-of-the-magazine models (Constance, Laura B., Bianca, etc.) and cover and back-of-the-magazine models (Lara, Daria, Natasha, Sasha, Raquel, etc.). I guess it is their way of using both newer, less-seasoned models and veterans.

i dislike the cover
but natasha is looking gorgeous in the calendar!!

i like the cover. it reminds me a bit of kate moss's W editorial (the colours, lighting, etc)... i think it might be more striking irl.
i really, really love lara's ed. bianca's looks good, and the vintage YSL ed sounds interesting, i'm very curious to see it.
2009 wasn't the best year for VP, so i wasn't really expecting a phenomenal december/january issue, and i can't say i'm disappointed (with the contents, that is. because i am disappointed with the number of eds).
as for the calendar, no words can compare this one to last year's. i was expecting something great from sorrenti, as great as his previous calendar, and he fortunately did it again.

Yes i gree the best is the calkendar really great photos the issue very boring and small eds, i hope 2010 issue back work Mario Testino in Vogue Paris i miss your works here are a classic for this mag

i actually love the darkness of this cover. its provides more depth than a christmas dress with a powder pink background.

I tried so hard to keep the surprise for the editorial but... so difficult, to late

The cover is too dark for me to see in details what exactly I'm looking at. Someone said the cover reminded them of Kristen's July VI cover. It actually reminds me of Rianne's most recent cover with VI. Almost the same dark, psychedelic color scheme and the death stare.

Last year's VP with Princess Stephanie was probably the most boring issue of the year, so I'm glad there's some meat to this issue.

i have this issue in digital, i take that back what i sad about the content not being great, is awesome visually.

Wow! I'm glad to see Rose as Grace Jones, pure fierceness in every single picture

As someone has mentioned, the cover looks like taken from Vogue Italia.

All hail Enhance-->Adjust Color-->Hue/Saturation :lol:

I've got to say I love that red/green/blue glowing from a black background though
