Vogue Paris December 2010/January 2011 : Daphne Groeneveld & Tom Ford by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

Well, if you did, then I guess we're in this together. I'm still waiting for the actual shots either, VP presentation leaves me at least not satisfied yet.

Count me in too. I actually thought VP had an exclusive to publish these shots before any other publication too.

Are there really no runway/backstage shots from the Tom Ford S/S 11 show featured in this issue?

Does anybody else feel uncomfortable looking at Cadeaux shots? Seriously, I'm disturbed

The only things that make me want to see this issue in RL are the photo relation from the anniversary ball and the horoscope.

I agree 100 % TheFrenchy. I've been really disgusted by the "Forever love" ed. It was really useless.

The Cadeaux shots are the one with kids?

FYI, there are 10 pages of pictures from the Vogue Party at the end of the mag.

^I feel the same. Let grown-up's do whatever, but please don't corrupt children like this.

I just bought this issue here in Paris.

The whole issue is imo ****. The "la panthereose" is a "darker" remake of an earlier and much better editorial in vogue italia (with elise c and others). Tom to me is just uninteresting and his new collection is a disappointment. The ed with the old couple is just untasty.

Where are the Cadeaux shots? I didn't see them anywhere?

c`mon everything repeats in fashion, fashion itself is actually very repeated. its truly hard to make a revelation in fashion photography- everything s done already. plastic surgery is just the theme and if meisel used it before it doesnt mean what he is the inventor (btw, noone blames Meisel in endless reminiscense, why blame others?)

*voice of Carrie bradshaw*
"HATE IT! HURTS MY EYES!"
no really quite disappointed with this issue

Disappointing at the very least, especially considering the grand potential that this issue had. It is a pity that Tom did not guest edit during his Gucci period, as the result would likely have been more interesting.

^Yeah, that certainly shows how sick one can get. I know it may look like children playing the adults, still it's all so vulgar and disturbing. I don't feel comfortable having such thing in a magazine, even if Vogue Paris is being considered as a more liberated one.

Well, I can understand they might have wanted to go extreme with Forever Love vs. Cadeaux, but the second one is a limit for me.

I haven't received the issue yet (damn them being late once again!) but Ive to say I'm disappointed by what I see. I wanted a Tom Ford issue. Not a VP issue with Tom on the cover, featuring Tom's clothes.

i totally agree...
this seems like any old issue of VP, just with tom on the cover...the eds seem like gratuitous nudity/sex for the sake of showing a naked body (which we all know is tom's schtick) but it way tired here...
the guest issue with sofia coppola was amazing, more of her and her inspirations/photography, etc.
even the john galliano issue was better than this...:ninja:

Where are the Cadeaux shots? I didn't see them anywhere?

At the beginning of the magazine, from page 61 to page 102.
It stares little girls dressed like women.
I found that kinda embarassing

Children these days grow up fast anyway, why is everybody so shocked? Its just girls playing dress-up... its not like they're having sex. Maybe they should of done an ed on abortion, poor Vogue Paris if only all people agreed with their editorials :(

But if everybody agreed than the eds wouldnt be that shocking anymore... hmmmm....

Probably the worst issue of Vogue Paris I've ever seen. Maybe Iris and Daphne's shots are good but the poses leave me cold...not even going to mention the rest of the eds.

The collection is so so bad it really can't hold a whole issue together, and maybe some exciting photography would do the trick but not, not in here.

and the calendar... Daria has been looking really tired lately, I don't find it sexy at all.

kinda sad...but funny how they've lost their source of ideas and keep repeating them selfs.

Uhm, I was waiting for the Tom Ford show images and they aren't even here... issue is a dissapointement

Yeah, the issue is so lackluster. The only two eds that caught my eye were the ones with kids and the old people and only because they were so gimmicky. Everything else is just blah. Shame, the cover was so good.
