Vogue Paris March 2011 : Saskia De Brauw by Mert and Marcus

Such a shame Roitfeld waited until she was out to do something different like this, but i guess that could have been the catalyst behind this cover.

I'm not really a fan of this cover, i think it's her mouth which bothers me! Anyway, i'm hoping for a stellar cast in this issue! :D

it reminds me very much VI covers from the beggining of 2000's... nothing special...

I like it in theory, but her face is just really unappealing to me (at least in this shot) and her neck looks really weird.

well I found this cover has nothing special on it, but it has the x factor that makes me love this one.

it looks like it's a picture of a screen no?!
nope, that is due to the pixilation of the image when scanning. I still dont like it, well, i appreciate the drama and softness of this but it's a cover forgettable ... and perhaps awful:doh:

well i think this is carine's finest cover in a long time.it's stunning and not the cliche i was expecting.

Yeah, that's why I love it, it's not the typical clichéd Vogue Paris blue sky/blue ocean/blue whatever background. It reminds me of Amanda Moore's Vogue Italia cover.

That's what I like about this cover, that it isn't the typical Vogue Paris cover. Now I just hope the content is as good.

Saskia has yet to master the open mouth look. It comes across as awkward, with the tilted neck. If you read too much into this, I like the slight reference back to Carine's first cover with Kate - the minimal feel. Other than that, I'm eager to see the content and some shots from Saskia's editorial. With this being Carine's last issue, the standards are high.

I cant make up my mind if I like it or not, one the one hand its not typical VP and Saskia actually looks really pretty but it being Carines last issue wouldve expected more. Still really excited to see the contents.

I'm surprised to see Saskia on the VP cover, it's strange to see her and to realise it's Carine's last cover, I thought it would be Lara or Natasha. Even though not the best VP cover it Saskia looks ok.

it's not outright beautiful for me but i like how they opted not to do the usual androgynous route for this model, and how they softened up her features. though i'm on the fence with this one since Saskia's beauty is a little self contradicting and takes time to digest. it's a striking cover in itself.. and yet i'm still trying to figure out what exactly is beautiful about it, though it is indeed a good image :ninja: ahh Carine, what a mindboggling last cover.

Um. No. Her neck looks broken and awkwardly long. And gross eyebrows.

And what's up with Vogue Enfant? Do we really need that? Creeps me out.

That's probably the worst cover of VP under Carine..:ninja: The facial expression is just ridiculous and I don't get Saskia's appeal actually. Well, it's not the first time that VP is disappointing to me.
