Anyways, I adore Lara as a brunette - she needed a change! Plus I'm a huge fan of the 1940's hair.

I don't have an exact opinion about this cover right now, but I think it's good... I gotta get used to it. I think that this close-up didn't work as perfectly as the previous March issue.

i suppose they break off with Carine. cause his last contribution was for dec/jan 2008/2009- so long ago, considering the fact what he was the most often contributor for paris vogue, always getting most of the covers. that`s pity cause my first association with Paris vogue always was Mario.

She actually looks good with brown hair but I can't believe it's her!! Oh my...that's tricky. LOL I agree it's very Vivian Leigh...

I might be the only one but I think Lara looks terrible as a brunette... I feel like it makes her features disappear. Even Sasha doesn't look good, she looks sick (literally). The only ones I like are Natasha & Anna J who manages to still look stunning.

Anyway, what a huge disappointment this issue is... I was expecting way better for a september issue... The theme is nice but I don't like how it's executed (so far).

Though I like this cover and her make over....I can see what you mean. That said, I do not think it's the color of her hair that makes her look less striking. It's the demure undertones. I would love to see her in the Gia mode sometime.

The cover isnt bad looking to me its just not lara, shes barely recognizable here at all. al her special uniqueness is missing. The previews look good though, especially Natashas and Anna J.

BB seems like a great ed too - it's poly by mario sorrenti after all. sasha looks amazing as usual, love her work with bruce weber. i was so excited about W and all those nice eds, i had no idea VP was already out. amazing. the cover is shockinly gorgeous, and i had high expectations.

*edit* i'm so blind. just saw the Diane K and Blondie previews. look great as well. this issue is such a must have.

What a fantastic cover! Like most people I expected something very gothic and dramatic but I love the result! Lara looks absolutely fantastic!
The whole casting inside is amazing - Especially pleased to see Natasha, looking so damn fine, and Anna J in an OG ed!
I've been waiting for this for so long and I'm not disappointed

And Miss Dalloway, I'm SO glad you love the cover this time around

yes, I know what you mean... i hope it's not official, because as you said it's the first association with the magazine (at least during 1995-2004) in my opinion.

Is it just me or does Vogue Paris only use M&M for "special occasions?" I mean the last two March and September covers were done by them, and they had the guest editor issue, and the one with Vanessa Paradis (the age issue, I think?). The only ed I can think of outside of those issues was the one with Malgosia and I think that was October 2008, I may be wrong...

Whatever. I'm not complaining.

the preview of the editorials are great. especially Lara's! love this look on Lara.
