I think that the alien/doll faced models are on their way out. Judging by the wave of new girls that are coming in it seems like the industry is turning to unusual and edgier looking models.

it almost seems that liya has stopped modelling..

Damn, I'm kind of iffy on it, but I hope Elise has a big comeback, I think, or something happened where, for a while she wasn't working a lot but judging from the Soa Paulo fashion week photos she is definitely ready for a huge comeback. But, maybe that's just me hoping. :-D

Yeah, I would really love to see more of her on the runway, I mean theres no good reason why she isn't getting as much work as she used to haha, she is still just as great.

I agree about Darla Baker. I like her, so i hope that she has a great season.

I'm wondering what shows Daine will do. She fit in really well at this season's Prada show, but will Miuccia go back to her old faves, or stay with these kind of girls? I can't really picture her doing shows like Roberto Cavalli or Gucci, but I guess we'll have to see. I imagine that she will end up at Marc Jacobs in New York, but are any other NY designers ready for her look?

I'm hoping that Romina continues her runway success. It's about time designers started to notice this girls killer walk. She is amazing! I also want to see more Lindsay Ellingson (spelling?) and Du Juan

I hope that all my favorites have good seasons: Heather Marks, Daria, Jessica Stam, Caroline Winberg and Lisa Cant among others

I'm really rooting for all those incredible new Dutch girls that have been popping up at agencies lately. Simone van Werkhoven, Katie Braatvedt, Truus Hooiveld, Rosanne Doosje, Nynke van Verschuer, Nadine van Kralingen, Sofie Oosterwaal... etc. I like ALL of them and I hope they are really gonna take over. Also, of course, the already present Dutch girls Sophie Vlaming and Bette Franke are gonna be huge.

Others I'd like to see break through (more) are Han Hye Jin, Annelyse Schoenberger, Anna Mariya Urazhevskaya, Heidi Verster, Holly Hayden, Simona Levenok, Yevgeniya Kedrova and some more. Also that girl Teeani Chang I made a thread about the other day... I hope to see her too. Same with Drielly and Ditte @ IMG.

PS: I am guessing that both Malgosia Bela and Natasa Vojnovic are going to have a successful runway return... since Malgosia has all these campaigns and Natasa was in Vogue Italia August and will be in Vogue September Paris, if I am correct!

^ Malgosia is definatly coming back... all of the big girls of the ninties seem to be coming back for more now that they're in their twenties!

I could easily see runway becoming exclusive for the younger, saddder looking girls, while edits and campaigns seem to be all about the supermodels of yesteryear. Also expect to see Daria and Liya climb the ranks to official supers- no more runway, but many more campaigns. Gemma might as well.

i hope to see more of Yevgeniya too! It'll be great to see her in Dior, Galliano and YSL as Galliano and Stefano Pilati (sp?) seem to like her but i hope she does more than just those 3 shows.

I agree about Bruna Tenorio. Apparently she did 25 shows at SPFW. She is pretty stunning and has all the makings of a great runway model- height, attitude, looks, and is very photogenic.

Oh and I forgot to mention that Iekeliene Stange is going to be big. I can just feel it. Her recent appearances in eds are bound to give her a great runway season.

Naomi Campbell mentioned how no black models on the catwalks as of late, and I don't think that will change anytime soon

Sad indeed....As I said in another thread Liya and Alek are about the only ones in Euro catwalks...That's a shame. There are so many gorgeous black models up and coming, and they haven't had their chance to shine yet...

I also think the alien doll scene is going to fade. I think they'll be moving on to a new sultry edgier look aswell(I do think MariaCarla is here to stay for a while). Designers do have their faves, but they can't keep the same ones over and over ..they want ripe and fresh ones... Also most of the models like Tatiana, Anna D., etc the ones that aren't getting any limelight right now might move on up. Besides it is possible every model has her time to shine..so I'm crossing my fingers..
