Who Will Sweep Up At The S/S 2013 Shows?

I have high hopes for Kirsi Pyrhonen and Julija Step's return to the runway! I would also like to see more of Ophelie Rupp, Hedvig Palm, Cora Emmanuel and Karolin Wolter.

I think it's refreshing for houses/designers to cast new faces particularly for the Spring/Summer season. I like the surprise of seeing newcomers with an actual uniqueness (especially those Dutch and Swede newcomers). With that said, I hope there's another surge of blips along with the recently baptized up-and-coming showgirls!

A Snejana runway comeback would be so nice to see, maybe it could happen with the two campaigns. Who knows the Queen might be coming back!

I wish to see Daria Werbowy in one show and i'm almost sure this season she has high chance to accept the Alexander Wang show, same goes to Naomi, he always cast supermodels and it's strange he didn't cast them yet, Kate seems impossible to have...

Also i wish a huge cast, it's possible to have Natasha Poly, Isabeli Fontana, Natalia Vodianova and Daria Werbowy in one show?
This it's very hard nowadays to make it happen, i know

Two people who stick out that I would imagine will sweep this season are Elena Bartels & Marie Piovesan (you could cut yourself on her cheek bones).

I have a feeling Kasia Struss may open a few [more] of the big shows, I can see her being a bit like Natasha Poly in terms of shows, as Natasha had 'her time' a little later on in her career, from 2008 onwards and I think the same could be said for Kasia, or at least I hope.

I think there will be a lot of emphasis on blondes & ethnic faces this season, mainly because it's S/S. The pale brunette girls are favored more for F/W collections. Not to say that girls like Kati & Aymeline won't do well, but I don't think they'll be opening every show like last season. I expect see girls like Elza & Joan being the big show openers. I also hope to Freja making a comeback to the runways. Maybe a Gucci exclusive?

Newer faces that will sweep up: Daniela Braga, Vanessa Axente, Madison Headrick, Juliane Gruner, Cora Emmanuel, Nadja Bender & Elza Lud-whuteva .

Established faces that will have "moments": Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss, Karmen Pedaru & Natasha Poly (always does better for spring)

i hope to snejana making a comeback on the runways after her 3 campaigns this season with M&M..of course she's very selective and has this exclusivity in terms of shows which other girls don't have (like poly, kassia etc) and she skipped last season..everyone knows she does only few shows for a while so i hope we will see her again at gucci, balmain and maybe at tom ford (since she's face of tom ford beauty) - but it would be amazing if she's going to do full season cross your fingers

I honestly don't think Daniela Braga will do so well. She's very commercial, and I bet she'll go the Lais Ribeiro route (nothing wrong with that).

BTW, is Juliane old enough? She's very interesting so I hope to see her on the runway again.

I believe she turned 16 earlier this year.

It's always tricky to predict who will sweep up, but my bets are on Lula Österdahl, Cora Emmanuel, Nadja Bender, Elza Luijendijk, Ava Smith, Franzi Müller, Hedvig Palm, Esther Heesch and potentially Moa Åberg. I'm also hoping that Anniek Kortleve and Karoline Bjørnelykke will have good seasons.

Alison Nix, Kolfinna, Amy Hixson and Ulrike Theusner should be interesting to watch. And of course Charlotte Cordes, no idea if she's going to be in town, but since she's represented by Ford NYC from now on I got my hopes up.

Don't see it coming for Vanessa. And Esther Heesch, a little bit too young and generic looking for a show compiled by a casting director other than Maida
