Speaking of black models... on the IMG website I saw that Yasmin Warsame has a showcard for this season... to me that is exciting news because she is pure elegance and I love her!

So does Ujwalla! Of course I know she isn't black (She's Indian).. but she will bring some much needed diversity to the runways... hopefully she makes a successful return

As much as I doubt that it will happen, I really want to see Andi Muise. <3

My predictions: Anna Maria U., Jessica Stam, Darla Baker, Suzanne Diaz and Bruna Tenorio (not crazy about her, but I have a feeling she'll be successful)

I'm wondering if Louise Pedersen will return to the runways considering all the campaigns she's been scoring. Women's showpackage isn't out yet, is it?

I agree about Bruna Tenorio. Apparently she did 25 shows at SPFW. She is pretty stunning and has all the makings of a great runway model- height, attitude, looks, and is very photogenic.

I have been recommending this girl to a few of the designers I work with. I'm getting a good response, but unfortunately most of them are quite set on using certain girls they trust. Designers cling on to what they know.

Sad indeed....As I said in another thread Liya and Alek are about the only ones in Euro catwalks...That's a shame. There are so many gorgeous black models up and coming, and they haven't had their chance to shine yet...

I also think the alien doll scene is going to fade. I think they'll be moving on to a new sultry edgier look aswell(I do think MariaCarla is here to stay for a while). Designers do have their faves, but they can't keep the same ones over and over ..they want ripe and fresh ones... :wink:Also most of the models like Tatiana, Anna D., etc the ones that aren't getting any limelight right now might move on up. Besides it is possible every model has her time to shine..so I'm crossing my fingers..

You're spot on. Unusual faces are becoming quite popular and I am trying to push this because I'm really tiring of baby faces. I'm trying to push for unique, yet beautiful girls. Girls with some classically beautiful features, but with a twist.

New Stars: Coco Rocha, Hilary Rhoda, Du Juan, Snejana

Possible Comebacks?: Erin Wasson, Elise Crombez, Malgosia, Louise P.

Regulars: Daria, Carmen Kass, MariaCarla, Gemma

Possibly Fading: Euguenia, Julia S., Caroline W....

I'm really rooting for all those incredible new Dutch girls that have been popping up at agencies lately. Simone van Werkhoven, Katie Braatvedt, Truus Hooiveld, Rosanne Doosje, Nynke van Verschuer, Nadine van Kralingen, Sofie Oosterwaal... etc. I like ALL of them and I hope they are really gonna take over. Also, of course, the already present Dutch girls Sophie Vlaming and Bette Franke are gonna be huge.

Others I'd like to see break through (more) are Han Hye Jin, Annelyse Schoenberger, Anna Mariya Urazhevskaya, Heidi Verster, Holly Hayden, Simona Levenok, Yevgeniya Kedrova and some more. Also that girl Teeani Chang I made a thread about the other day... I hope to see her too. Same with Drielly and Ditte @ IMG.

Who is Katie Braatvedt? Never heard of her.. and Truus Hooiveld? What are their Dutch agencies?
I think there are some upcoming girls from WWmodels.. WWmodels have some amazing new faces.. I see them in a lot of Dutch magazines..

I also think Merel Wessing (she is with Peperoni / Vision Model Management) is upcoming.. she did the show MiuMiu Exclusive.. shooting for Levi's, campagne voor Replay, campagne voor Burberry - the younger label- .. and so on..

And don't forget Steffie from Paparazzi.. she is with Viva and with Supreme in NY.. (but she told me that she will switch to IMG or DNA).. She walked some shows for Chanel ..

And Teeani from DNA really look promissing.. She is sooo lucky with her height.. !! I want to grow some inches too..:P

^ Well, Truus did the Prada show two days ago and Katie did some some shows as well. They both have threads here... I think they both directly hail from IMG and have no motheragencies in Holland. I could be wrong about Katie, but I know for sure about Truus :flower:

I don't know where to post this, ive already tried a few places...

Does anyone know when the couture shows are? thanks

^The FW06 Couture shows happened just before the SS07 Ready-to-Wear shows -- we're still a few months away from the SS07 Couture shows!

Thank-you  it was the spring I was wondering about. S/S 06 was my first year I really got into the couture shows but I just couldn't remember when it took place.

fashion truly needs a break from conventional looks. it needs to embrace a wider range of models. i like du juan, she is pretty but needs more attitude.

im really hoping charo (ford) will have a great season:heart:. she has lots of potentials. her unconventional look is what fashion needs right now. together with other exotic models like du juan and bruna, charo is a breath of fresh air. why is ford giving more attention to chanel iman anyway?

I love Charo's look! Shes gorgeous! I hope she and Coco Rocha both have great seasons.
