I hate my smile. Whenever I smile, I always am left thinking oh my god, why the hell did I just smile?! and i just want to run and hide.

And whenever I mention that people start saying "what, why, smiling is great, be happy, etc etc" and I mentally start ranting to myself how I hate those sun in the funshine dont worry be happy sunflower cute little chipmunk woo yay people - don't tell me to be happy, give me a reason to be happy! Does anybody else have one lip that is much bigger than the other one? My lower lip is a lot larger than the upper one and I think some people find it strange and/or think I have had Botox or something when I have not. Does anyone know of anything I could use (other than Botox) to get the upper lip larger in order to be a little more even with the lower lip (shrinking the lower lip will mean having thin lips and it wouldn't suit my face)? I won't use lip liner outside the natural line of my lips because I think that looks awful. My aunt uses foundation on her lips and then doesn't fill her lips completely with lipstick (so they look smaller), but that also looks terrible and quite obvious.

I have a bigger bottom lip too and read that that's pretty normal actually. I don't know about making the top one look bigger, except making putting a little bit of a lighter color in the middle might? I haven't even thought about whether people find it strange or think my lips might be fake. They've always been like that. It's obvious in my baby pictures too.

I've always liked my smile. Not to say I love everything about myself, not to mention my physical appearance... I don't! But I've never had any beef with my smile.

I do have dimples... I have very straight teeth, as I had braces in high school (and head gear... goodness).

My bottom teeth do not show unless I'm very, very happy in the moment. So sometimes they do for a very wide grin.

I had braces in High school. My teeth were really jacked up. I had this huge gap . before I even had braces, i just did not feel comfortable smiling at all, after my braces and seeing the results, everything changed. now i cannot stop smiling. I really love my teeth.

I haven't even thought about whether people find it strange or think my lips might be fake. They've always been like that. It's obvious in my baby pictures too.

Several people have mentioned aloud, 'Your bottom lip is so much larger than your top lip... Hmm...' and then acted strangely or given me weird looks. This gives me reason to believe that some think my lower lip is fake. In profile it also sticks out more than the upper lip and I guess it does look a bit odd.

Not really, I suppose I am fortunate in that respect.

18 months of dental work has cured any gaps.

No way, Jose. I am definitely an all-out smiler. Yet, I do grin sometimes. I find that when I grin my chin becomes too pronounced, so I tend to smile.

How is the tooth to gum ratio?
I have far, far, too much gum, in my opinion. I have naturally small teeth, and a very toothy smile, so it looks a bit strange most of the time. But I have also been told that I have a very wonderful smile and no one notices my teeth.

Do you have any dimples?
I have one dimple on the right side of my face.

Very nearly yes I have very thin lips anyway so it's hard for it to not disappear

Nope,tiny teeth=not many on display at once

Nope,none at all. Have been very lucky in that department to have straight gap-less teeth

Every time,if you find a photo of me smiling with me showing teeth,it was most probably photoshopped

No and even though they're cute on other people I don't think they'd suit me.

I hate my mouth on the whole though,it's slightly wonky and one side goes up higher than the other when I smile which is why I never do it

I just have a gross un-flattering smile. My bottom teeth show, I have basically the biggest dimples ever, and when I'm real happy when I smile only my gums show. Yeah I have a goofy smile for sure.
