I went to the sale yesterday and got a navy cardigan. Also, I finally found a pair of red moccasins (ala Miu Miu SS04) that I've been wanting for a very long time. I can't find it on the website but it looks like this but in bloody red:
(sunglassshop.com) - I'll get them soon.

Rockin Republic, your cluth is really cool.

What do you girls think about this one? It's available online from the new collection.

^Impossibleprincess, love that shoulder bag! Going to check it out too ^_^.

eu-pt, I like the style of that envelope clutch but I feel like they ruined it with the "Zara Woman" engraving. Wish they had just left it in plain gold

impossibleprincess love your new bag, good purchase
and totally agree with ellesea about Zara Woman engraving!

impossibleprincess, the skirt is actually lambskin! Pretty nice and soft! I hate it that Zara doesn't make real leather bottoms for men.. baah! Perhaps next A/W? Judging by the amount of leather and suede pants on the shows... there should be some!

There are no guys in this thread?? ^^'
I got a pair of black leather boots on sale today! Were 89,99 and I got them for 39,99! Also... There's this black shearling coat that is an almost perfect replica of a Burberry Prorsum A/W2010 that I've been flirting with for ages on their website... I they had it... And I tried it on... And it looks and feels so freaking perfect! But it's 399€!! :S I'm obsessing now!! God I HATE to be poor!!

This is the coat! <3 The picture doesn't do it any justice...

This is the one from BP...

HPrince, judging from pics, I like the Zara version better! maybe wait for second round of sales?

Ahah!! Well, THAT would be sweet!! 50% off.... and I would be running to get it!! It's part of the new collection... so.... no luck for me! In person it's more the colour of BP.. The only thing that's different is the cuff and collar straps that are regular leather, when the BP is patent leather and has buckles.. But I can live with that! Especially considering that from a distance they look exactly the same, and the BP is 10x more expensive... 4000€ easily!!

Edit: By the way, if you girls are into the hole Philophilly thing... this dress SCREAMS Céline!! I love it!!

^ No problem Rockin Republic.

ellesea, thank you for sharing your opinion, I think you're absolutely right, that clutch would have been perfect if it had been plain gold without the embossed letters!!

HPrince, welcome to TFS and to Zara's thread!! Your are the first guy I've seen on this thread alright, but i hope that doesn't push you away. I totally get your obsession with Burberry P they have amazing stuff but this Zara coat you spotted is a good substitute. And I couldn't agree more about the dress you also spotted is very refined and really beautiful the only down side IMO is that one should be quite tall to be able to carry it well because otherwise that print creates an optical illusion of a drop waist which can be a big no no to petites!!!

eu-pt, I saw the clutch in person today and it does look fabulous but again, not a fan of the engraving. However, they did put it beside leopard flats in the exact print and I totally fell in love!! They are fabulous! :D I'm generally not a animal print person but I find this particular leopard print very classic, if that makes sense and a little pop of it is so fun!

HPrince, I love both the coat and dress you posted. Great taste! Would make a nice couple beside each other, no?

HPrince love the coat  and the dres...i fall in love with it! hahaha!

Thank you eu-pt!!
You know, it's interesting because I've been "spotting" Zara's """inspirations""" for women's ever since they made a A/W collection that was mostly Chanel, maybe 2 years ago. But I've never really focused on menswear's inspirations (apart from the obvious Balmain lately). That was until I found an old editorial featuring a coat I've had for 4 years now (black wool/cashmere with a cherry..ish lining)... Except mine is Zara. The editorial was (interestingly enough) Burberry Prorsum!!! So I think Zara has been getting part of it's inspiration from BP for some time now!
That's when I started paying more attention and found a few pieces, including that coat <3 from BP A/W, a leather vest (I've tried it on but it's too stiff!) from BP S/S, and a dust pistachio green vest (from Zara's A/W, no longer availabe) from BP Pre-Fall (!!!). And a few other things!...
You're right about the proportions of the dress.. But I just love the combination of colours. Picture a blouse with those stripes...

Thanks ellesea!! :D Well, maybe if we styled the coat with a crisp white shirt and leather boots, and the dress with a biker leather jacket and high high heels... eheh! They would look perfect together!

EDIT: speaking of inspirations... I just watched the Chanel HC show and the shoes are the flat version of this. It's been around for a week or so, but maybe it was a leak from Chanel? Maybe it was a coincidence? Anyway, they're fabulous!!
