Can someone give me some tips on how to apply eyeliner??? I am horrible at it, and I am hoping the make-up experts here could provide me w/ some tricks to do it easily and effectively. Thanks!

I usually just curl my lashes, put on some mascara, and put some blackshawdow on the bottom part of my lids (right above my lashes)

I was searching around on the techniques to do Asian makeup, and i found this really interesting forum post from a different website called groove asia (Its about Asian entertainment and so on). The user gave out her or his perspectives on the "western" and "eastern" way of doing makeup. And the pictures really show it.

I think Julie Chen (from the CBS morning show) is an example of how asians should not wear their makeup. Its just bad, caked on contoured mask. Everytime I see her, I can't focus on anything else but her makeup.

^lol another matte orange complexion with the "oh look at me im the super madeup exotic beauty" style makeup... if she is a lil bit paler, her eyes definitely look beat up :S after comming to Canada, i found that all the Asian on tv are with that beat up style eye makeup... its quite scary actually....

Can someone help me?! I'm chinese and I have very round eyes. Whenever I wear anything other than light champagney gold colour eyeshadows, my eyes look even rounder, really small and kinda cross-eyed! Even if I wear a peachy pink colour. But I want more options other than light goldey colours. Anyone have any ideas? I think someone mentioned brown?! How about a bronze?!

^ how about using eyeliner (or basically any colour that is closest to the lashes) and extend it over outer corner (kinda like a cat eye) ?!?!?
and dont line the all the way on outer corner; either do it on top lashes or lower lashes.

Try different application techniques. Apply it at the outter corner, instead of the entire lid.



WHat does beatup eyes mean?

^overloaded eyeshadow on the lid area (esp where it is bumpy) so that on far away the eyes looked like it got punched therefore there is darkstuff (which look like almost bruise) on the lid......
