Every season I'm kind of baffled. To me, Burberry just doesn't fit in Europe, despite it's heritage.
It's not cutting edge enough for London, and that's fine.
It's not powerful and dramatic enough for Milan, also fine.
It's not creative or forward enough for Paris...end of story.
Honestly these clothes would be much better suited to NY fashion week. He's been beating the mid-60's egg shaped skirts, mod coats and mini-shift dresses for as long as I can remember now. Even with all of the new (new for Burberry anyway) textures and surface detail, this bores me.
It's become mind-numbing at best.
And Chris, don't you dare think people wouldn't notice that gold painted feather bit a la Proenza Schouler.
