Catherine, Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton)

Kate Middleton & Prince William of England - Announcement Of Prince William's Engagement To Kate Middleton (Nov 16) - Celebrity-Paradise.com

Boring, boring, boring. Oh well! There goes the Monarchy, but hey, you get what you get. And the RF wants someone who "wont frighten the horses" and they sure got it. The dress is alright but still nothing spectacular...I guess the only hope I have now is that she gets a good stylist. Kate's mother must be "dying" right now:rolleyes: she finally made it in.

All that's true but gosh just looking at them on tv they seem very happy. Congrats!

They both look like they're in their thirties.
They both definitely look older than they really are. And that outfit is a bit boring. The Queen seems to have even more fashion sense that her :innocent:

That said, they both look happy so I'm glad for them. But IA with whoever talk about that 'fairytale' stuff, their wedding is no fairytale even if they/and the media will try to sell it like that.

Her outfit would have been better if it was a different shade of blue or just had blue accents...Princess Mary of Denmark pulled this off very well for her engagement photocall. Everything matching so much with the Navy blue, her dress, her jewelry, the ring, his suit and then with that bright red background. It's just all too much. And would it have killed her to splurge on a new pair of heels?! She has been wearing those for years now. It just looks all boring imo.

They both look so stiff too.

I would have loved to have seen peep toe pumps but I loved the color and they did look happy, a bit stiff, but happy. She looked the happiest, her cheekbones looked like they were about to pop out of her face. I hope she'll grow on me, she isn't my favorite.

I just watched the whole interview (http://www.examiner.com/young-adult...iam-kate-middleton-engagement-interview-video) and I think she looked lovely. the colour suits her, the ring is gorgeous and so is her hair...

I actually think she looks better on camera than on photos. They both seemed happy and very thoughtful - William is quite funny also. I really like her better after that interview. She'll do a good job.. and they seem right for eachother.

The ring is beautiful, I had forgotten, it actually fits better with Kate - she has that ice princess vibe more than Diana ever did. The blue tones surprisingly work well for her too, she looks damn good standing there.

She looks beautiful in that blue dress, it suits her perfectly. I'm glad they're getting married, I'm a sucker for royal weddings! :p

She looks great in Issa but I would be beyond surprised if Issa did her wedding gown. It's not Issa's style and I don't really think Issa produces the kind of 'overkill' dress that would be required for a royal wedding.

i think Kate looked great at hte engagement photocall. I mean, it's clearly a dress style she is comfortable with, as I'm pretty sure she has that dress in several colors. My only problem is that she doesn't dress for her body type. This dress fits her well (though I think it accentuates her narrowness) but overall she doesn't really get her proportions. She has a very narrow, boy-shaped body and great legs and yet she wears such frumpy clothes. but, hopefully she'll sort herself out.

Beautiful color on Kate ^_^ I don't know much about her personally style [yet], but she was just GLOWING in her interview. :flower: Best wishes to this couple.

Boring dress... if this is the best she can do in her engagement well i guess she wont be a fashion icon.

Totally agree! She seems gorgeous in person than those photos with intense flash on her face.

me too, actually thats what I said to my Mum yesterday when we were watching them on TV. I think she looked absolutely gorgeous, and the dress is just perfect for her. I'm still not a fan of her working attitude, family and any fairy tale talk, but maybe she's a good solution for both, Prince William (he seems to be so happy ^_^) and the monarchy. nice to look at, a little boring, but hopefully no drama.

but to come back to her style, is it just me, or are people never THAT critical, even considering tiniest details, when it comes to other celebrities? No offence, though, I know there are enough reasons to dislike her...

(sorry for OT, I just didnt want to post in 2 threads...)

I just have a quick question. How is it in Dec and Jan she still wears dresses (and sometimes her open toed shoes)? Does it not get that cold? Where I live it would probably be impossible to wear dresses and shoes like that in Dec and Jan because of the cold and the snow.

I can't even begin to express how disappointing this news is to me. The thought of her family now being part of the royal circle makes my stomach turn.

As for her engagement outfit, I thought it was kinda boring. A nice colour, but she's worn dresses like that before, and I can't help but feel it wasn't suited for her shape. I also wish she had done something with her hair and that she would stop with the eyeliner.

I'm surprised that I'm actually happy for them. I think what changed my mind about them was seeing the interview. Kate looks beautiful and albeit a bit nervous which is understandable. They look like a comfortable, mature couple. I thought they always looked cold in pictures but they were quite pleasant in the interview. The dress was a perfect compliment to the ring although listening to the press fawn over her "style" is laughable. Her style achingly boring but hopefully with her new position she'll improve style-wise and work wise.
