Catherine, Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton)

^^ hahaha. I have a pair of boots that are similar, from what I can tell... black riding boots... guess I'm out of style. ;) I don't care - they're comfortable and I wear them constantly.

They're suede and she has them for like 5 to 6 years. Maybe bought the same pair but new.

I don't get how she would not get bored of it.

 All the people who have watched her style since the beginning can firmly agree that it is terrible. All the people who are new to her, see a couple of ok shots and think Kate is fine.

I would be so happy if those boots were riding boots. I can guarantee they are some sort of terrible suede boot. Honestly, if her style was Sloane-y, it would be fine. But it's not. It's wannabe-Sloane from about 1998.

I don't think anyone expects her to be edgy. But there is a wide margin between edgy and frumpy and I think the Michelle Obama comparison is great. Not that she should dress the same way as Michelle, but the idea. There are so many great British designers Kate could be wearing such as Erdem (even though technically he's Canadian), or Peter Pilotto, in addition to Issa. You can combine elegance and youth, but Kate seems to think that involves mini skirts and suede boots. And there is nothing at all wrong with repeating outfits and boots - but I swear she has these same hideous boots in brown and black and that is all she has worn for the past 5 years (though it feels like forever).

eta: Was slow with posting, but as evidenced above, those who have been in Kate's style thread from the beginning recognize the dreaded suede boots

^^ Haha, yes, it's true, I am somewhat of a newbie.

kate may not be "fashionable" but she is always "appropriate" :)

hopefully you get a beautiful wedding dress kate! congratulations again! :)

Just wanted to add these that showed she was wearing a cap at one point.

Also the event she was attending was in honor of Henry van Straubenzee, a close friend of the Princes before he died in a car accident when they were in school. William and Harry are patrons of his charity and Kate attended a similar event last year... wearing everyone's favorite white coat.

The hat actually looks cute and is a detour from her normal boring look, I would have liked to see her wear it into the event and obviously removing it for the memorial itself out of respect. I don't know why she doesn't wear more stuff like this.

I can respect this answer. I also think she could use Halle Berry as an inspiration. Halle does casual very well and is still appropriate. And yes, Michelle Obama and Jackie O would be excellent, given they were in a very similar position as Kate.

i feel so sorry for Kate....all the paparazzi and negative comments...shes not known to be a fashion icon after all.

Kate's funny bunny party!

These are exclusive pics of party princess Kate Middleton dancing the night away at a London nightclub.
They were taken in 2008 (they mean 2007), during Kate's split from Prince William, who she will now marry in a national celebration at Westminster Abbey on April 29 next year. Will's flawless fiancée, 28, was out with friends at a launch party for a film about famous sex toy, the Rampant Rabbit.

Really? A sex toy film launch? Congrats William and Britain your future Queen is into sex toys! And that outfit is horrible.

^ Several of the royals look to me as if they should be :p Maybe they'll learn something from Kate ...

I highly doubt the Queen or Prince Philip needs or wants sex toys in their life. And hopefully they won't take dress advice from her, since Kate has no style.

I think she's quite beautiful, but her style is a bit boring, and occasionally she'll wear something that's just horrible IMO :innocent: I think that you can dress conservative without looking like an old nanny. I do think she's got a pretty bad hat style tho :ninja:

Eh? What's wrong with sex toys? Those things are funnn!

Ain't that the truth. Ann needs an orgasm like nobody's business.

I actually quite like the fact that the first thing Kate did after getting ditched by William was go to a sex-toy party. First hint ever that she may not be quite as boring as she looks.

PS: thanks a lot Ashcottmanor for the mental image of Lilibeth with a Rampant Rabbit. I really needed that in my life.

Someone put together a You Tube piece of Kate's mini skirts and nearly revealing pictures....I don't see her as boring at all....! :shifty:

You're welcome!:p Why should I be surprised she went to a sex toy party? She's already got the "drug lord" uncle to be proud of. Isn't it...sex, drugs and rock and roll? She's almost there!;)

Breaking: Kate Middleton Is Going to the Gym

Radar has allegedly unearthed what Kate Middleton is doing in the gym to prepare for her wedding to Prince William, taking place Friday, April 29.
After seeing miraculous results three years ago when she lost weight and toned up to row across the English Channel, the 28-year-old brunette beauty is back on the rower, burning up to 500 calories an hour and shaping those all important back and arm muscles.
The 5'10 beauty has upped her daily hour-long gym workouts, which include cycling, jogging and light weights to ensure she keeps her 120lb body in shape.
Radar also claims Middleton will go skiing with her Prince, where she could burn as much as 2,000 calories a day, or what would probably be more than her typical daily caloric intake. As Jezebel points out, it's unclear how they know her height and weight or her exercise regimen. But obviously she's going to the gym — she'll be the most photographed and scrutinized bride since Diana, probably, and any woman would work to look as attractive as possible (by today's standards, at least) in that position. If you can believe it, she also gets her hair done too, according to Us Weekly:
"Kate is always perfectly manicured, and she will have blow-dries before she goes out," says Katie Nicholl, royal watcher and author of William and Harry: Behind the Palace Walls. She adds that Middleton and William, also 28, likely got their teeth whitened in advance of their engagement announcement.
Well. This is unexpected and shocking news.
