Catherine, Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton)

The sheer top is interesting, reminds me of the Hannah Marshall collection everyone is loving.

I agree, a bit daring-- If you grade in terms of improvement, this look is soooo much better than the one where the little bit of hat was falling off & taking her hair with it ...

I like her style @ the wedding.

I doubt Camilla would wear that. Camilla doesn't wear much black, does she? She wears a lot of greens, blues, but not so much black... and the hat is a bit too tame for Camilla! :p

I totally forgot to wish her a very Happy Birthday the other day on this thread (Jan. 9). I hope she had a wonderful day.

I believe this should go in the William and Kate Engaged thread since it has nothing to do with her fashion.

Kate Middleton talks wedding dresses with Bruce Oldfield; London designer was Princess Di's favorite

Kate Middleton met with London dress maker Bruce Oldfield to reportedly talk wedding dresses. The London designer was a favorite of Prince William's mother, Princess Diana.

Tongues are wagging on both sides of the pond that princess-to-be Kate Middleton has settled on a designer for her wedding dress.

British tab News of the World snapped pics of Middleton's mother and sister walking into the shop of London frock-meister Bruce Oldfield - a favorite of Prince William's late mother, Princess Diana.

Middleton's relatives spent an hour and a half with Oldfield himself, leading style mavens to speculate that he had landed the coveted assignment.

"It must have been a special appointment because as a general rule Mr. Oldfield does not do front-of-shop work," a source told the newspaper.

Oldfield, 60, specializes in "couture occasionwear," and has designed gowns for Faye Dunaway, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Queen Noor of Jordan, among many other luminaries.

He has long been rumored to be Middleton's style guru of choice, prompting British bookmaker Paddy Power to stop taking wagers in November that he would design the gown for the April 29 nuptials.

Sweet.
But really her title very well could determine what style she decides to goes for. Lots here nitpick about everything about her, I'm sure here title and style will get lots of debate.
And I already put it in the other thread for interest sake.

Video: See Kate Middleton’s White Reiss Dress Worn by a Real Live Morning Talk-Show Host!

This week, the white Reiss dress Kate Middleton wore in her engagement photos goes on sale in stores and online. And the Today show is — as it has been with all things royal wedding, which they have branded with a special crown graphic and a particular serious enthusiasm — all over it with another in-depth, hard-hitting report on the nuptials. Today, Meredith Vieira discussed the dress with Harper's Bazaar's executive fashion and beauty editor, Avril Graham. Meanwhile, fellow host Natalie Morales actually wears the garment, with the very same earrings Middleton wears in the photo, and prances about next to a cardboard cutout of Prince William. For those of you planning to buy the dress, the video offers a key look at how it moves and behaves on a living, breathing person (well, fine, morning talk-show host), which might help you decide how hard you want to shop to get your copy. (To heighten its desirability, Reiss should consider selling special limited-edition packages of it containing cardboard William cutouts.)
Also very, very, very important here: Harper's Bazaar's Graham predicts that Kate will not wear a dress by any of the big names that have been in the press so far. So if her family's been spotted at a certain designer's store and that person's PR team is being publicly coy about things, Graham doesn't expect that designer to be The One. She thinks Kate will wear something by someone who is lying completely low and hasn't said a thing about the dress so far. For all anyone knows, she has a private army of royal silkworms weaving it in the palace basement right now.

I was just reading that Diana gave her bridesmaids china boxes with a couple of the silkworms from her dress inside ... yuck. I hope they give that little tradition a rest :innocent:

Catherine Middleton had lunch this afternoon with Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall.

Catherine continues to wear those hideous black suede boots (her trademark), a beige blazer, and patterned dress. Of course she couldn't leave the house without her other infamous trademark, black raccoon applied eyeliner.

Oh gosh....It's bad, bad, bad. It's all bad. She looks older than ever and those raccoon eyes are not doing her any favors. I don't like anything about this outfit. And on top of it all, the girl can't fill out a dress if she tried. She should stick to mainly form fitting leggings or pants and dressy tops.

I have to admit, for the first time Camilla is the better looking one here.

Her style is 10 years out of date.

^ agreed, dresses and skirts don't suit her at all. I hope the wedding dress will have some kind of construction to give her shape.

Kate, Princess of Raccoon Eyeliner and Black Boots.
The British press can try all they want to plug her as some fashion icon but her style works against them. The jacket and the skirt are cute but just look bad on her.

I like the jacket but it's dull and is she planning the wedding by herself? She looks tired and worn out. I hope whoever does her makeup on her wedding day ditches the racoon eyes look.

Did the article say she was getting advice from Camilla? :o :innocent:

she does look tired - and her use of eyeliner is terrible - happened to me when I was 16 and starting to test around with eyliner ;)
