Catherine, Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton)

Yeah the model looked much better but I think a lot of people and magazine will call her style/fashion icon simply because they want a young royal to be excited about.

I found these photos from when William and Kate were shopping at a grocery store and he forgot his money and she had to pay. I guess the shop camera got her. I have to say, when she isn't in London she dresses quite normal. Very country-ish. This just backs up my thoughts that she tries to dress the way she thinks a future princess would dress when she knows the paps are around.

^ I'm pretty sure she wore the same outfits to a polo match a couple of years ago.

Looking at the Daily Mail's choices, I think they can sit down now :innocent:

I agree. While their choices were less frumpy than the typical Kate outfit, none of their examples screamed chic to me. It was all still dull, safe, boring.

I'm looking forward to seeing Kate in Victoria Beckham's dresses.

I find it random that she likes Victoria's collection since she seems to have zero interest in fashion. Even when she wears designers like Issa she picks the worst things. She doesn't neccessarily need to go high fashion to look great, shopping somewhere like Zara and picking out the right things would be a huge step

I highly doubt she would be caught dead in this at polo. But if you find a pic of her in it, I'd be interested in seeing it. ;)

To me she looks more dressed up here than she did in that shop. She has worn fancy cardigans and dark colored pants to Polo matches before but I doubt she has worn anything as simple as the shopping outfit there.

I liked that casual polo outfit. It's different from how she usually dresses at those things.

I also really like her hair pulled half back like it is in the store photos. She should wear it like that more often in public. She has great hair, but I don't like her new highlights.

I couldn't find the pics, but I found these.

^Thanks for those! But to me, they're not the same as the camera shop photos. These look like somewhat expensive sweaters paired with fancy jeans. The outfit in the camera shop photos look like an outfit from Old Navy. This is just my opinion though, you may see it differently.

'Kate Middleton's no style queen': Vivienne Westwood's gives her verdict on Prince William's fiancee

We don’t know who will create Kate’s wedding dress – but after some cutting words yesterday, it’s not likely to be Dame Vivienne Westwood.
The controversial 69-year-old designer appeared to suggest that the bride-to-be was not stylish enough to wear one of her outfits.

‘I would have loved to have dressed Kate Middleton but I have to wait until she kind of catches up a bit somewhere with style,’ she said.

Snub: Vivienne Westwood, pictured after her Red Label show last night, claims Kate Middleton, right, still has some way to go in the style stakes

‘When people ask me where she’s going to get the dress from – she’s definitely not going to get it from me, or I would have heard.’

Only last week Dame Vivienne snubbed Harry Potter actress Emma Watson in the same manner, saying that she had never heard of her.
The designer made her latest comments as she prepared to show her new collection as part of London Fashion Week.

Vivienne Westwood's show, at London's Royal Courts of Justice, was one of the best attended shows so far. Celebrities seated in the front row included a dark haired Sarah Harding and her Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts.
Fellow singer Paloma Faith also dressed up for the occasion - sporting a big orange lily in her hair and a bright green belt.
Doctor Who actor Matt Smith and Jamie Winstone also attended - supporting their girlfriend and housemate Daisy Lowe who was modelling some of Vivienne Westwood's creations.

Outlandish: Vivienne's designs are probably 'too wacky' for the future queen

Caricature: Vivienne themed the show on the Royal Family meets Alice in Wonderland

Dame Vivienne, who rose to fame making clothes for punks in the 1970s, showed she is still as irreverent as ever in her attitudes to the royals.
The collection – with a theme of ‘Royal Family meets Alice In Wonderland’ – featured felt crowns and birds’ nest hairstyles, as well as pinstriped suits and bowler hats.

Uncivil suits: The elaborate shows was staged at London's Royal Courts of Justice

Crowns were also made out of the models’ own hair, styled with wire.

Jo Wood, former wife of Rolling Stone Ronnie, who was among the celebrities at the show, said that Dame Vivienne’s style would probably have been ‘too wacky’ for a future queen.
An opinion with which Kate might well agree.

Out-weirding Westwood: Charlie Le Mindu's catwalk show included a fabric and hair gas mask worn by a topless model

The quirkiness of Vivienne's collection - complete with models who looked like they'd applied their smudged make-up in the dark - had nothing on Charlie Le Mindu's clothes. Or rather the lack of them.
From the second the first model stepped onto the catwalk, seemingly naked bar a hat that shouted 'violence' and a few litres of blood, Le Mindu's creations got stranger and stranger.
Highlights included a fabric and hair gas mask, a skirt also made of hair and a huge punk hairstyle.
Probably a little too wacky for Kate Middleton too.

How about those tacky looking boots  Everything is bad, her makeup is worse. I think she may be a lost cause.
