^ Sorry but a sloaney doesn't neccessary mean that you dress in a particular way. Kate lives in Chelsea which is near Sloane Square and so is a sloaney.

'Sloaney' (or 'Sloane Ranger') does not neccessarily mean someone who lives in Chelsea, from whence the word comes. Kate Middleton was a Sloaney when she lived in Berks and when she lived in Scotland. The sense I took it in was her clothes and lifestyle...

I just noticed the shoes as well...silver strappy ones would have looked much better. She just doesn't seem to pull looks together; there's always something off about her, whether it's the shoes, or the hair.

I don't mind her her hair or even her shoes as much as I dislike that ribbon on the dress. It actually could just be the flash from the photos but it looks so cheap and shiny. Like she bought her dress at David's Bridal or something. It has good shape and flow at the bottom but it looks quite cheap.

I agree that her hair did look sort of big and frizzy and messy, she should have done something more with it. It was obviously an event that required dressing up very much.
I agree she doesn't pull looks together, and I have a feeling it is because she isn't just dressing in whatever she wants or feels like. she's probably always having to think about embarrassing her boyfriend and his family, or being slammed in the press, so she dresses how she thinks she should, and it isn't a style she is used to or entirely comfortable with yet. Maybe...

Upper-middle class/aristocratic boys and girls (aka 'rahs') wear a style of clothing known as 'sloane'. For boys it's biege chinos and white shirts, for girls it's Kate Middleton. They probably also study agriculture (known in common parlance as 'rah studies') at St Andrews or Durham University, and go to Ascot every year.

It's in Wiltshire. I'm not quite sure what Prince means by calling it the 'mill of Satan' but I've heard pretty awful things about it from a couple of friends who attended.
