Silly question but how can I know the colour of my paddy ? I think It's whiskey but now I'm not so sure: Is it written somewhere ? I can't see it and I can't post pics right now

I think I am settling for a whiskey but who knows..If I saw all colors together I just might change my mind.

What I would really like is a red..lipstick red. Not out this season I think I will get the whiskey and you are right. The drive may be worth it although buying it from Neiman's will cost more I dont think I can wait until March.

Which color did you like the most on the shelves?

I don't know if it's written somewhere or not. But the whiskey is darker than the tan with an orangey tint and the brown is....brown, a true brown.

Nordstrom or Neiman's?

I know almost all SAs in Neimans..they ordered me other bags but when I asked them last time I was there a couple weeks ago they said they did not get any.

Well there seems to be paddies available everywhere now but, in case anyone is desparately seeking a specific one and can't find it, I was in Saks Atlanta today and they had the paddy in tan, the new brown (not chocolate and not, IMO, reddish - just a nice med. brown - a good S/S brown) and the light blue which is really quite stunning IRL - it's sort of a silvery blue. They also had a cream paddy hobo and some silverados but I didn't take a good look at those (sorry). There were also some of the newer Chloe bags - nice, but didn't thrill me.

I believe the new brown is still called chocolate. I wish I could see one of this season in real life without having it shipped. I love my chocolate bag with the small hint of red, but am really craving a true brown. You can only see the red in mine outside in daylight; in florescent light at work and under my lighting at home, it just looks brown. The opinions of the s/a's are not working for me. I think they say what you want to hear just to sell the bag.

iluvfashion and mademoiselle- I would have to say the cream was my favorite. I'm a real sucker for the cream color . I was tempted to buy it but I already have a craie bowler from last season. Then it's a toss up between the light blue(which is a lot nicer IRL) and whiskey.

Nordstroms Valleyfair called me yesterday to inform me that they just received their new shipment of paddies, for any of you interested in medium ones.

That's great. Ours got a new shipment in also, but said the waitlist was so long there wasn't much left. I'm really thinking of getting a cream one (since I've pretty much decided against a calcaire bbag). She did tell me they had a pea green Betty, but haven't seen one irl so decided to pass on it.

Does anyone know if there are any boutiques or retailers in Australia that have paddies? Strange thing is, I looked in their catalogue and website but it doesn't have australia listed although someone posted about how much more they were at the stores there. I PM'd her but it was an older post so not sure I'll get a response. Also, can't find any info here or any other forums.

Just got new black paddy from ebay...

for $700. the workmanship is impeccable - soft, grainy, distressed leather (it even smells good), stitching is grey. the bag totally collapses when put down. hardware is matte bronze/brassy color.

only things that concern me regarding authenticity:

1. YKK engraved on square zipper endcaps.
2. leather tag with serial number in the inside pocket (read somewhere that authentic bags don't have it!)
3. Both C's (attached to the belts on the sides) are engraved with chloe, but one is on top, the other is underneath. Should one be upside down?
4. Interior material is black canvas (?). All of the black paddy's I've seen have beige interiors.

That all sounds correct actually. Some bags have YKK, some don't. All the other things are on though. I believe the newer season black bags have black interior.

thanks for responding. i have 7 days to return it. but it's so beautiful, i don't want to! i guess i will always be a bit wary about the bag since i didn't buy it directly from chloe, and i got it at such a discount. all of my other purses have come directly from the designer or a dept. store.

SORRY - this was my doing. I had reposted to apologise to say I was wrong. Genuine ones have tags. The new season paddies have 10 digits.
