Chic Chik, thanks for the info! I wonder why Chloe doesn't even have your country listed?? I'd protest! Actually, No...southern california (but now WA state)....but your idea sounds better with the bigger waves! I have a friend in Adelaide (Aldinga beach). It's sooo beautiful there and the people are the sweetest! Where ever I have friends, I like to know where the bag boutiques are so I can send them in to check things out for me when they have a chance but these may be a bit far. Either way, I'm looking forward to taking a trip down under in the near future so gotta get my stops mapped out in between the Aussie activities!

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my bag! :D I will get some batteries for my camera tommorow and post some more pics as promised.

I am shocked at how easily the brassware can become tarnished. I only took mine out for the first time today and the loop that the padlock hangs from now has a scratch, despite me being SO careful with it. Does anybody know of anything that can prevent or rid scratches from the brassware? Looks like I'm gonna have to be even more careful..........

There is no way I am sending it back though because it is so beautiful. The leather is so perfect, it feels so smooshy looks fabulous. I emailed NAP very strict instructions on what I wanted mine to be like and they delivered it exactly how I secified. I am so happy with it, I cant stop looking at it! And the smell of the leather is lovely. I would say to anybody who is having reservations on the colour (blanc/off white), please look at it in person first because trust me, the colour is divine and looks good in any light. If only the brassware was fine, then I would be 100% delighted instead of 99%!

I'm waiting for the denim blue paddy :woot: . Never owned a Chloe before so I'm a little anxious.. I've seen it IRL and I liked it...what do you ladies think of this color? Would it get dirty easily? Anyone owns this color too? TIA!

Ohh what did it look like irl? Silvery/greyish blue? And what is the official name? Sorry for all the ?'s but this is one of the colors I'm looking at. Now if I could only figure out the difference between jean moyen and bleu clair

Not that we can find some incredible deals on there, but for a new bag, a BIN like that is very suspicious?

Sorry, I need to make a retraction here. I thought you bought it at the BIN price since it was even number  . Was there one listed? I'm surprised no one else had bid on it in 3 days and am still wondering why a reserve wasn't set.

I found one more difference between fakes and the real deal-

The ring zipper pull on the side zips has an indentation on the authentic bag, the fake has no indentation.

Hope this helps someone.

Also wanted to announce the arrivial of my new Argent Paddy from LVR...
she's beautiful! Loving the silver hardware, I took it out to Saks last night and the girl in the chloe dept made a beeline for me, she had to ask me about my bag, and touch it, since she had never seen a silver paddington before. Now I need that grey cashmere cardigan to wear with it... hmmm

The auction description is taken from NAP. I'm also wondering about the receipt. Its possible its a fake or she bought one from Saks and used that receipt for this bag. If it was a "gift" and she had the receipt why not just take it/send it back to saks for a refund or get something different? $680 is alot to lose.

Please post more pictures. I hate to think you spent $700 on a fake.

Or maybe the seller did buy the real thing and then thought "Hmm... I can get my bag for free by pretty much relinquishing the receipt and selling a fake!" or maybe she stole it and the whole thing is real.

I really hope that it's not a fake for your sake. That's a lot of money to spend on a bag only to not have it be the real thing. Either way, it sounds like there is some foul play.

Treating the Paddy

Does Anyone treat their Paddy? I just got my ivory one and I am worried about getting stuff on it. Has anyone tried the apple-stuff on their Paddy and does it work? Thanks!

I think I've read here that people use the appleguard rain repellant and the conditioner lotion/cream (NOT the cleaner). I use the rain repellant on my LV and have had no problems

Pic request please? :flower: Someone wearing their light blue paddy and anthra paddy? I've narrowed it down to these 2 colors but I havent seen anyone wearing them

CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a nice husband you have!

I bought a pair of Chloe paddington style slingback heels. How do the sizes run for Chloe? If I usually wear a size 8.5 to 9 will a 39 fit ok?

For me personally, it's not about value or scarcity of the bag, it's about style. I love the style of the Paddington and can see myself carrying it for many years, even if it does become yesterday's news or "so last season". I didn't buy four Paddingtons for the status; it's because I really do use them. When I think of how much money I've wasted on bags that are now sitting around getting little use, I feel using my Paddingtons have only added to their value.

That's great. Ours got a new shipment in also, but said the waitlist was so long there wasn't much left. :( I'm really thinking of getting a cream one (since I've pretty much decided against a calcaire bbag). She did tell me they had a pea green Betty, but haven't seen one irl so decided to pass on it.

Does anyone know if there are any boutiques or retailers in Australia that have paddies? Strange thing is, I looked in their catalogue and website but it doesn't have australia listed although someone posted about how much more they were at the stores there. I PM'd her but it was an older post so not sure I'll get a response. Also, can't find any info here or any other forums.

superchick2 - Here is the list of the store/boutiques that carry the paddington
- David Jones Melbourne & Sydney
- Roby Ingham Paddington & Melbourne
- Cactusjam International Melbourne
- Miss Louise (not recommended they're the most expensive)
The paddingtons from previous season were sold for aud$2295. This was the old price though. Hope this help. You better of getting one from LVR or NAP both are cheaper than you get one here in Australia

i actually read it here: http://www.bagsnob.com/2005/09/the_chloe_paddington_1.html (u have to scroll down the page a bit to see it). but thanks to you all for clearing this up for me. when i read that only fakes have the tag, i thought i was going to hurl.

I have a doubt on the authenticity of the black paddington you've got from ebay. The pictures are way too small and not clear at all, the leather looks very stiff. I don't buy the seller's story. Who wants to sell their new authentic bag for less than half of the price. I would be very wary.
