Chloe Paddington Bags (February 2005 - March 2010)

Okay, so I've finally got my very first Paddington I bought it in a dark chocolate brown and I absolutely love it. It is the most thrilling feeling to walk down the street with it as everyone comments on my lovely bag. I will definitely post a pic here soon. Thanks to all those who helped me in authenticating bags- I can do it in person but photos are a little trickier (unless it's really dodgy smooth plastic).

actually the peeling is only tiny little area.. but I still dont feel very confortable since it is a brand new bag..

What is the difference between the tan and the whiskey?
I looked pictures here but each gives a different idea due to lighting, etc.

Which one has more orange, what are the undertones ? Which one stands out more.

I saw the cream in person and I did not like it. Now I am down to two.

Whiskey or tan? I will order from LVR as soon as I make my decision.

For those of you who have relatively flawless locks, do you use the lock often? NM finally shipped out my very first paddington in whiskey. I should have it by Tuesday next week. I am very excited but already feeling a bit weary about this lock peeling issue.

Chloe better fix this lock peeling problem or at least have boxes of them (the locks and keys only) to give out to customers who can give proof of purchase of a paddington bag

iluvfashion- the whiskey has more orange in it than the tan. that tan is a bit lighter. i would say the whikskey stands out more, although they are both beautiful colors.

designme- my lock and key have yet to peel or chip or anything of that sort. although i do have a few minor scratches on it (because you can only protect a bag from so much). but i would say don't feel weary about the peeling issues and try and focus on the excitment of your new bag!

I just want to make sure, just in case my lock starts peeling too. Do I contact LVR? Or Chloe to solve the peeling problem...

i've found them to be very friendly and prompt with any questions or concerns you might have =) the payment and delivery went quite smoothly i'll receive mine in 4 days. i know how nervous it must be, this purchase is the first i've done online.

hmm.. if it arrives with the lock peeled, i'd certainly contact LVR first and see what they are able to do about it.

I went to LVR to order the whiskey. It says arrival in March or am I looking at it incorrectly. That is 2 months away

yup.. if it's the 1065 euros u're looking at yes, it says march 06 . i originally wanted the whiskey too but i can't wait that long, so i ordered the blue clair on their site 1045 euros =). might get the whiskey nxt time hehee.. i can't wait to own a chloe, i'm just impatient.

I talked to Chloe HK regarding the peeling lock.. I purchased my tan paddy from them last year at AUG.. I remember I asked them the same question a while ago and the sales told me they would replace the hardware for me for FREE as long as I purcahsed from them..

But.. when I rang them again yesterday, they told me.. they have to see the bag and they might charge me a FEES on the repair.. OMG.. what are they thinking?! obviously it is their poor factory quality control due to the peeling problem... and they told me they wont repair any paddy that purchased from other place than their shop...

It sounds quite silly for me... Chloe is a international company and selling high -end expensive clothing and accessiorse.. I cant' see any reason they can't provide international repair service for a 1500USD handbag! eg) If I purchased my paddy from europe.. does it mean i have to send it back to europe for repair?? it dont make sense to me at all!!

Paddingtons have arrived in Rotterdam in every shape and size and colour. This means they're on their way out,girls...

One good thing is that I've seen the whiskey in real life now,and while it is absolutely stunning,I am still happy I got the tan. It is a more unique Paddington colour.

actually i've seen paddingtons sitting at the paris boutiques on av. montaigne and rue du faubourg st honore for awhile...
the whiskey is noticeably darker than the tan...
the black seems to be the most popular on the streets though... i see quite a few of them.

I havent sent my Chloe Paddy for repair. The thing is, I live in Germany and bought the bag in Paris, I cant return them to Chloe Germany. I talked to them and they said, if you wanna repair you bag, you need to return it to the place where you bought it. Thats so stupid isnt't it?? Chloe service suppose to be international. I totally dont get it.
Anyway, im going to Paris again end of Feb, so I will handling it personally to the Chloe Lafayette. I really love my bag, but when I see the scratch in one of the rivets, its really piss me off
Im so jealous of you girls who dont have any scratches problem in your Paddy. I just own this bag 2 weeks, and its already peeling like its been worn for 2 years! I never had problems before from my other designer bags. Chloe is the first time, and it makes me scared to purchase another Paddy.

I agree, demand has definaltey fallen for these bags. I think it was bound to happen with a bag that got so popular so fast.

I still love mine though. I've only seen 1 fake where I am and no one knows what the paddington is, one good thing about living in the middle of fashion no-where.

I knew it had grown to mass-market appeal when my Nordstroms recieved 3 paddys, 3 silverados, and 2 silverado totes. Furthermore, these bags have been sitting on the shelves for a few weeks. Keep in mind that my local Nordstrom is not an A store. My hubby asked me if seeing the bags there devalued the brand, I said no; but, it is definitely a forecast into the future.

I live in Chicago and neither Nordstrom or Neiman's have paddingtons.
Even Saks never gets them in here.
