mundodabolsa - that's so funny because I was thinking of doing that same thing. I was thinking I've spent so much money on my bags, I should grab the most expensive ones that I've bought and put them in one suitcase so I can grab them right away I know that it sounds kinda of shallow but some those bags cost more than my jewelry.

Not fire but we get tornados everyyear so whenever there is a warning my bags go down in the basement. Last time I wasnt home during a warning (I was actually outside at a kickball game and had to take cover in the bar ) but when I got ahold of my mum she told me my bags were safe in the basement

I can't believe it: my whiskey paddy and tan silverado tote are here already! That's just a little over 24 hours. Unfortunately, I can't open the packages b/c DF is at my place, and he's already been disapproving about how many handbags I've purchased (and he doesn't even know about half of them). Yes, it's my money, but he knows that I shop the most when I'm feeling lonely or depressed, so it bothers him to see me shop so much. I don't know when I'll get a chance to open them!

i was in ur shoes once. but with a choice between blue clair paddy and double flap lambskin chanel. but couldn't make up my mind so i got both! they are really very different bag. one's a casual look and the other's a chic/evening look. i've got a pic of them side by side somewhere.. i'll find it by this afternoon n i'll post it here.

Okay ladies, here are pics of my new Noir satchel from NM Boston. It arrived yesterday with a small peel on the back of the lock right along the top "seam", as well as with some small knicks on the key right above the Chloe logo. The s/a spent a lot of time trying to find me a replacement bag at another store but had no luck. Because the defects in the hardware are so small and the front of the lock is so perfect, I decided to ask for a 10% discount and she granted it. No one would be able to really see these flaws unless they were as detail oriented as I am. I even tried to capture them in pics but they didn't show up.

This is the new leather with the 10 digit serial number but it is softer than the new chocolate I received from Nordstrom a week ago. I have decided to keep both the Noir and the AW chocolate and return the SS chocolate as I can tell the hardware will not hold up. The hardware on the newer bags seem more prone to peeling than ever. I also have a chocolate Bowler on preorder with BG online, as I have been dying to see a Bowler IRL. If I'm going to keep two chocolate bags, they might as well be different styles!

Noir is definitely a slate blue-grey versus a washed black. I went back in this thread and found some pics of Noir back when it was introduced in November/December 05 and noticed it looks like more of a washed grey-black with no blue. It looks darker. The bag I received will match a lot - pink, blue, yellow, black, grey, white, prints, etc., and is fabulous with jeans, which I wear everyday to work. It's a great color!

LOL Guess. Would you believe no other bag interests me at all? Not the Choo Ramona, Dior Gaucho, Stam, Spy, etc.? While I love them on other people, they are just not "me". I am loyal to the Paddington! No one can ever accuse me of wasting my money on these bags!

Roey - the square tag thing has come off at the leather. It's hard to describe, but it's the open rectangle that fastens under the padlock bit that has come off.

I know exactly what you mean. If you can't fasten it back on then contact the boutique or department store you purchased it from and they can either exchange the bag or send it out for repair. I wouldn't keep it as is, even though it will be hard to part with it.

Thanks, I love the color too. I missed out on the blue nuit, so this is the next best thing and probably more versatile.

Okay, now that tfs is up again, I can update you all on my new whiskey paddy and tan silverado tote. Unfortunately, both are going back. The leather on the whiskey paddy is rough and almost has a painted on finish. I had felt the leather on a tan paddy loaf last year, and it was so soft and squishy. So perhaps I got a bag from a bad batch of leather. The silverado was gorgeous: the color was a perfect tan for summer, and the buffalo leather was too die for. BUT, the straps didn't fit over my shoulders comfortably (and I think I have pretty skinny arms). So I'm now on the look out for a regular Silverado in that tan color.
